Does ANYONE like Molvin, On here
Corrie seems to be treating this as THE big storyline at the moment, lot of things centering around it etc, and its clearly not very popular on here (for good reason imo: badly written, badly characterised, chemistry free, dull), but im just curious, is there anyone on here that actually likes or hell even LOVES the storyline? and, not that im judGing, but if so: WHY!

Molvin has been entered into the top most disturbing relationships in soap history. They came first. Frank and Pat, came second.

So, whats scarier, Molly making her "sexy eyes" at you or Quadim from Eastenders giving you the evils?

Cannot stand the storyline, so boring and dull. I have no idea what the hell the producers were thinking when they put Molly & Kevin together.

Cannot stand them - my biggest stumbling block being the lack of chemistry. I used to like Molly before she was mysteriously bodyswapped by the scriptwriters and became a whingeing, faithless dingbat. Ho hum.

Yes ... I'm here!! lol...I've been watching corrie for around 20 years and I like the story ... I'm quite aware that I'm the only one on here who does. This storyline is so widely hated on the forums it shocks me ... I don't think Michelle's baby-swap storyline even got this much hate.
I like the fact that: - it's a twist on a standard soap affair storyline (in that it intertwines with Sally's cancer storyline) - it involves very well established characters (whilst I did enjoy all the Liam / Carla / Tony stuff, generally I find big storylines easier to take to when they involve characters that have a rich history with the soap and other characters). - it involves a wide variety of characters ...Kevin, Sally, Molly, Tyrone, Sophie, Rosie, Auntie Pam, Bill Webster, Jack and Connie. I know Im in the minority here (and possibly even alone) but u did ask if anyone liked it lol. |

Me i like it. Well not that i like it in a feel the love kind of way just that i don't get the hate for it.
Affairs like that happen all the time. Bored man with his family life, woman with a loser for a husband spend some time together find an attraction, jump into bed. More believable than Steve and Becky suddenly falling in love for example. OK i do think they 'fell in love' a big quickly but apart from that i totally get it. |

Although i do think if they go the rumoured way with the storyline then it will be a bit predictable and boring...

I like this storyline too. I find it quite believeable.
I too have always had a thing for older men. There are 16 years between my husband and I. I can see how, when she compares loveable but thick Tyrone with mature and assured Kevin how she has fallen for Kevin. The only thing i didnt like was how quickly it started. Molly was perfectly happy with Tyrone. Then Kevin mentioned that he fancied her - and she was suddenly in love with him. I would of preferred it if Molly and Tyrone hadn't married last year and they could of shown her getting bored with her life, and seeing her flashing mooney eyes in Kevins direction. Then they could of got together. It was all too quick. Do you know if their romance will continue ? |

It is an awful storyline. I had hoped that it was finished and we'd not have to watch anything else about it. When will the Corrie producers realise it was a mistake & leave it in the past.

I like aspects of the storyline, as this sort of thing happens to cheaters in real life, Kevin opted to stay with Sally. In real life not all partners choose that option. |

I'm the second person who likes this storyline because its very good and very well written. We know Molly can be sneaky and horrible because when she first came into the street she tried to steal Kirk from Fiz and as I also recall she used to bully Fiz in school so we know she is'nt all sweetness and light.
No point moaning about it because nothing can be done so for the foreseeable future you'll have to put up with it. There's always a off button for people who don't like it.

In what way is it moaning? this is a forum mate, designed for discussion of opinions, be they positive OR negative. Responses like well thatts that the off button is for and dont like it dont watch it are irritating stock answers, easy replies to opinions that go against your own, and can i just remind you of your almost ENTIRELY frequent criticism of EE? can i just say: theres always an off button for people who dont like it. dont be so hypocrticial.

LOL don't worry about it, I get told I am a serial moaner and grump cos I say when characters (not actors) bore the pants off me. Funny how any praise is forgotten when FMs don't like a storyline or character. (which are ficticious)

People should really do their research before making comments on storylines and look at the characters past instead of jumping to conclusions. You don't like the current storyline that's fine but do the work of finding out about the character and what she used to be like first.

Ah, the infamous Layne strikes again. I should make a new thread.
Layne - Ds Forums.
