I like most of The Saturdays' music as well, but, as I've said before, one of the main things they are missing is a standout single - a huge memorable hit song that stays in the top 10 for a long time and/or sells a lot. Girls Aloud and Sugababes have had plenty of those.
Ego did chart in the top 10 at the weekend, but is it really the kind of single that makes you want to buy the album? Not really.
They can do the sexy photoshoots all they want, but if they don't have the real quality songs and the record sales to back it up, it does come off seeming as desperation.
