Fire Hit still showing their Video Lock Error screen.
In more positive news, the digitaluk postcode checker now has prediction data for the G-MAN mux - e.g. http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/coveragec...28+1HP/NA/0/NA the G-MAN and L-MAN muxes have data if you scroll down the mux list. |

Fire Hit actually sprang into life for a day or two (last month I think) and then died on its backside again.
A complete joke. |

The G_MAN mux seems to be down at the moment for me - no sign of any signal strength on a couple of Freeview HD devices.
I don't know when it went off, it has been too weak for a while for my media pc (on long cable runs) to get a reliable lock on it so I don't have any scripts checking it directly. I'm pretty sure it was running yesterday. The service data is still being shared across to the other muxes. Is it off for anyone else? Hopefully they are making some improvements. |

Off here as well. Some needs to go up and stick a quid in the 'leccy meter.

Not the best of days to lose the mux, given the rescans that are going on...

The G_MAN mux came back up approx 11:54 this morning - it is now running with 5 channels, Sony SAB has been removed from LCN 53.
I also note that LCN 53 was removed from the service data at around 10:20, so it took another 90 minutes before they got the mux up again. |

Hmm, is the SonySAB IPTV channel still "coming soon", as it has been for a year?!

LCN 53 - LAMHE has appeared (at approx 11am) on the G_MAN mux. No video or audio pids yet in place, so not really up and running yet.
Edit: 12:09 EPG data now in place |

Hmm - there maybe some slight signs of life from Fire Hit TV...
An audio PID has appeared for their PMT - and the lack of lock message has vanished from the colour bars. The audio is silent - but finally there, they've been running with only a video PID for quite some time. .. and now (17:43) they've switched to a blue screen. Code:
Video #1 ID : 32 (0x20) Menu ID : 30145 (0x75C1) Format : MPEG Video Format version : Version 2 Format profile : Main@Main Format settings, BVOP : Yes Format settings, Matrix : Custom Format settings, GOP : M=3, N=12 Codec ID : 2 Duration : 12s 520ms Bit rate mode : Variable Maximum bit rate : 15.0 Mbps Width : 720 pixels Height : 576 pixels Display aspect ratio : 16:9 Frame rate : 25.000 fps Standard : PAL Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : Interlaced Scan order : Top Field First Compression mode : Lossy Audio #1 ID : 33 (0x21) Menu ID : 30145 (0x75C1) Format : MPEG Audio Format version : Version 1 Format profile : Layer 2 Mode : Joint stereo Mode extension : Intensity Stereo + MS Stereo Codec ID : 4 Duration : 12s 744ms Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 192 Kbps Channel(s) : 2 channels Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Compression mode : Lossy Delay relative to video : -1s 46ms Stream size : 299 KiB (1%) Language : English Menu #4 ID : 257 (0x101) Menu ID : 30145 (0x75C1) List : 32 (0x20) (MPEG Video) / 33 (0x21) (MPEG Audio, English) Language : / English Service name : FIRE HIT TV Service type : digital television Maximum bit rate : 2908800 Last edited by Greebo : 18-12-2013 at 17:40. Fire Hit TV now running!
17:44 - Now running with video and audio. There are occasional glitches in the feed, but I guess they may still be tweaking things. For the record, first (part) song played - One Direction, Story of my Life.

Now showing a static video slate: 24 HOUR HIT MUSIC STARTS 6 JANUARY Audio is running music, still briefly glitching every 60-90 secs.
Last night I looked a couple of times- once saw a blue screen, the other a music video with graphics overlayed- including a clock. |

Fire Hits launches Monday 6th Jan. Currently playing VERY LOUD music over caption.
Lets see how long this channel lasts. Hopefully they will play better selections of videos compared to MTV &The box channels! |

Someone on the UK Free TV forum said that the transmitter was off air over Christmas and didn't come back until last Friday. I noticed it had gone but as the signal is weak here I wasn't sure if it had just gone low level. If the transmitter was off and no forum members noticed, I wonder how many viewers it has got.

I haven't been keeping an eye on Fire - but it does seem to be up and running today - music videos and no glitches. EPG entry has a sms number so I guess they really have launched. Now into an ad break- so this can't still be a test. Also their twitter account has woken up again: From https://twitter.com/FireHitTV/status/420236717090562048 - Quote:
