I remember Clive and Whitney's praise of Joe and Rachel really well... One question though does Clive work with male artists? I don't just mean X Factor Winners. I'm talking about generally? I've only ever heard him associated with females artists

I don't think he would. Davis is very particular about who he signs. I read an interview where he was promoting Whitney's comeback a few months ago, and he said he's only interested in artists who can sell in the millions (because according to him, you have to earn those sorts of sales). He was also dismissive of most American Idol winners (despite having Carrie Underwood signed to him, one of the only ones he praised).

Hearing how much emphasis Davis places on "millions" of albums sales, makes me think he's not going to take the chance in investing in an unknown quantity like Joe. He must be incredibly disappointed at Leona not doing nearly as well in America this time around, and I'm sure he thinks she's miles better than Joe. If Leona's having problems in America, why would Davis sign on Joe?

I'm not sure that Clive would sign Joe, but he could. Joe seems to be targeted at similar markets to other artists on J Records. I do doubt it though.
