Neighbours is so bad it is almost surreal at the moment. Storylines with a lot of potential to be interesting are rushed and over with in a single episode yet this nonsense about the deb ball has been going on for what feels like years. To be honest I hardly ever watch Neighbours anymore as it just makes me sad and cross, seeing a programme that I have watched on and off since the 80's being totally ruined. Every time I do watch it to see if it has gotten any better all I hear is a load of teens going on and on and on about this stupid ball. From what I read of the 2010 spoilers it doesn't sound like it is getting any better either.

Well, the Deb's here.

Kate, who looks about 40, is wearing something in vomit green.

OMG, someone tripped.

OMG, someone got gunk on their dress.

OMG, how Do these people cope with all the excitement?

at a pile of sh*t that was!

how come half of ramsey street were there? how come everyone was in normal dresses except for sunny and kate?

wtf is going to take over the storylines now the deb is over?

It's not going to be anywhere near as good as the last Deb they had with Ty and Rachel singing 'Unforgettable' lol!! Well I think that was a Deb anyway, some kind of school dance!

I cant believe they dragged the storyline out that long!

And yes, the dresses were awful.

Hehe I found the dramatic solo Kate dance cringeworthy lol.
They have made Toadie into a nonsense/nuisance dumb character, who floats purposelessly in random scenes!
Sunny deserves an Oscar lol
Awful dresses!

Since it was a 'green' Deb, the dresses were borrowed or brought 2nd hand. In other words, recycled. I did think Kate's dress could have been better though.

'Half of Ramsay Street' were there as they were acting as chaperones.

I really liked Donna's dress

Sunny's dress looked like she'd nicked her gran's nightdress and Kate's wasn't much better.

So Kate has been offered another chance at dance school.... I'm surprised Jason Coleman didn't turn up with Stella McCartney or someone as his guest to offer Donna a second chance at a career within the fashion industry.

One thing though..... at least we didn't have to put up with Bridget Parker being there this time around. Or for that matter Rachel and Ty giving us yet another rendition of "Unforgettable"

I liked Donna's dress too.

Half of Ramsay Street was there, b/c a débutante ball is not the same as any other end of year school prom/dance (like with Ty & Rachel), but an old formal tradition, like a coming of age thing, like a graduation of sorts, where proud parents/friends watch and take photos of the precious day. Correct me if I'm wrong.

All the girls are supposed to wear traditional white, and be all grand etc. But the clothes were recycled for environmental reasons, and only Kate and Sunny got formally type dresses. The others weren't so lucky.

I thought it was an OK ep, quite good actually, compared to last week.

I've watched Neighbours from the very beginning and the last two episodes were the biggest pile of God awful tripe I've seen in all those years. I think I've grown out of the complicated lives of the teenages and would like to see more of the likes of Steph, Toadie and Libby. Kate dancing for Jason with the spotlight was the cringiest thing in a long time. However I do hope Amanda ends up with her head in some of that dip

Kate's solo dance made me cringe. Her dancings really strange, its like some kind of ballet hybrid where she twirls around every 5 seconds. And the whole storyline with Kate was like something from a bad chick flick, with evil Amanda, the love interest Declan, the tripping on the stairs and dropping food over her dress, and then getting into dance school at the end. Its ridiculous.

The best scenes over the past two days have been the ones with the adults in, especially Toadie, Lynne, Lou, Karl and Susan. But Zeke's pretty awesome too.

I was deeply outraged at Sunny's vicious expletives used against Amanda Fowler. Off to Ofcom we go

I wonder how long before they are all best friends with Amanda
