These songs are fantastic from her new album MOAIA, none have been released yet but one of the might be soon. They are really catchy and have good lyrics.

No more singles ar ebeing released from MOAIA, she is releasing a 2 disc remix cd in February entitled Angels Advocate. The first single is Angels Cry feat. Ne-Yo.

Languishing is so beautiful, I adore it.

They are only releasing singles from the remix album, starting with Angels Cry and Up Out My Face. H.A.T.E.U was meant to be released before but it was scrapped.

It takes a few listens to get in. Some many people said they weren't that into it only to come back a few weeks later saying they now really like it.

The label should have released It's A Wrap as a promo single if nothing else

I agree, it's a shame. She's still big in Japan I think.Well I think there is still alot of hype around Mariah AND Whitney whenever they perform or are interviewed, because alot of her fans remember how great she used to be. So it's not like she is a washed up singer or a "has been", she'll always still attract people because it is Mariah Carey. I just don't think that in itself will make people buy records. (Strangely, the reason I think Whitney's new album got to number 1 in the US was just because it was Whitney Houston, not because of the songs themselves)

I don't understand why she purposefully decided to have such drastic change after Mimi After seeling about 12 million, surely she should have gone along the lines of "If it ain't broke, dont fix it" etc. .....Then she releases E=MC2, filled with generic "pop" (NOT r&b), annoyingly low whispers, shallow lyrics and seems to lose all regard for an actual MELODY. Can't believe how two albums could be so different.

Then she goes back to old school with this album, which is nice, but then makes a hash of the actual songs that were released. Why on earth would the label release I Want to Know What Love Is, in this climate, when THOSE types of ballads never do well. Obsessed was a good choice of single, BUT a terrible choice for "Mariah Carey" because that isn't what made her famous (I'm not talking about just her voice, but actually singable and catchy "difficult" songs).

I believe that she can still go back to the heights of Emancipation with her next album though, just needs to work out what is actually a hit etc Although Obsessed went platinum Also, I her album didnt flop as the media said. It just didn't do as well seeing as it is Mariah.

I don't think she'll really "make" it in the UK either, just different market etc, although We Belong Together did really well. It's definitely not a lack of promotion, she did XFactor AND GMTV, which would cover alot of ground.

Come back Mariah, and stop shooting yourself in the foot.

She has never really been a huge seller in the UK but she does have a fan base here and her sales have remained relatively consistent over the years. She's had 24 top tens and 32 top 20s, the UK is her biggest market after the US and Japan.

At least MOAIA is certified silver another single will push it to gold.

Whitney's album was the best of last year, all the songs are fantastic imo. The release and promotion of singles wasn't great though.
