Dannii Minogue 'will not be replaced'

Quote:
“Dannii, who is rumoured to be pregnant, is said to want to leave the show to spend some time in Australia with boyfriend Kris Smith.

If she leaves there will be no replacement according to insiders: “Simon knows Dannii will probably walk out of contract negations in the spring but he isn’t worried.

“If she does leave he’s sure using the original format of three judges will get just as many ratings as before.”

It’s expected that the three categories would be the Boys, Girls and Groups as in the first series. However foreign versions of The X Factor have experienced success with Under 25s, Over 25s and Group categories.”

It's going to be hard to replace Dannii since she's been the one getting the show headlines globally so I can see why, if she shoud decide to leave, that they would go for 3 instead.

It was 16–24s, 25-and-overs and groups for the first three years. Not much point paying any attention to an article which doesn't even get the basic details correct.

Actually I think a Girls, Boys, Groups set up could work. That way out of all the girls, regardless of age, they could pick the best four.

It would lead to the girls and boys categories being even stronger though, so the groups would be useless

Dannii will easily be back in time for the live shows and could easily record judges houses in Melbourne.

All she would miss is auditions and Boot Camp. Both can be covered by guest judges (Kelly Rowland, Eminem, Jay-Z have all volunteers to judge - there will be no shortage).

Maybe this is an odd concept to some but she could want to spend some time with the baby after they are born?

Just a thought.

Or combine the two, like Holly Willoughbaps did...

Doubtful but I'd hope for Dannii to return for the live shows as the baby is due in July during Auditions/Bootcamp.

I doubt she'll do the show this year. I think she would of given it one last go if she wasn't pregnant but I think she's going to want to be with Kris and the baby in OZ especially as that's where Kris works. I don't think she'd want to return to X with baby weight and I wouldn't of thought she'd want to be one of those celebs that shift it in 2 weeks as she won't get much time with baby.

I'd love her to come back to X tho, don't think it will be the same without her she will be hard to replace. I wouldn't be surprised it she carries on with AGT, it clashes with X but she gets to stay in OZ and won't take up as much time.

She may come back for 2011. I think all she really needs is a break, so this is a good, she can makea deal with Simon/producers allowing her to return.
