The idea of this one is that a FM posts two totally random songs leaving a contributor the task of linking the two in as few steps as possible. For example, if I posted:

Penny Lane - The Beatles and
Cut Your Hair - Pavement

you could go:

1) Penny (Widmore) is a character in Lost
2) Her partner in the show is Desmond
3) Desmond's was the name of a hairdressers in the TV show of the same name
4) A barbers is where you go to cut your hair

So you've made a link in four. Then that person leaves another two random songs for somebody else to connect.

This is the best that I can do ( honest )

1. You're the one that I want is from the film Grease starring John Travolta .
2. John Travolta's previous film was Saturday Night Fever.

3. The music for SNF was mainly provided by the Bee Gees .
4. Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees was married to Lulu .
5. Lulu recorded Relight my fire with Take That .
6. The original fire was 'ignited' by the Prodigy when they
recorded Firestarter .
7. Firestarter was the first single taken from Fat of the Land album
8. The final single taken from Fat of the Land was Smack my bitch up .

I reckon that's pretty good; not sure Terrence helped with his song choices (well, The Prodigy anyway!)

I think you need to post two more random songs now, though...

Stand and Deliver was a Number One for AATA in May 1981.

Their next number 1 was in October of the same year with 'Prince Charming'

The week after Prince Charming was No1, 'It's My Party' By Dave Stewart and Barbara Gaskin hit the top spot.

The other Dave Stewart of course featured on 'There Must Be An Angel' by Eurythmics.

Billy Ocean- Carribean Queen
Pat Boone- Love Letters In The Sand

Snooker Loopy - Chas And Dave

Willie Thorne appeared in this song and his cameo line was "Perhaps I ought to chalk it", in reference to his gleaming head
A tailor uses chalk to mark cloth for cutting clothing
An item of clothing is a bra
BRA is the acronym for Bentley Rhythm Ace

How tenuous was that!

Tears Are Not Enough - ABC
Tears fall from your eyes
An eye condition is glaucoma
the yellow ring glaucoma produces looks like a doughnut
Homer Simpson eats doughnuts
I saw someone being sick outside Stead And Simpson shoe shop one Friday night (ok it was me )
Jimi Hendrix choked to death on his own vomit. His last word was a windy cry for Mary, his grandmother. Possibly.

Shakermaker- Oasis

An oasis is where you would find water in the desert.

You could store the water in a billy can.

Billy Paul had a hit with 'Me and Mrs Jones'

Tom Jones had a hit with 'Sex Bomb'

The plane which dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima was called Enola Gay.

A remake of Dark Side Of The Moon was made by Flaming Lips
The lead singer of Flaming Lips is Wayne Coyne
Coyne sounds like coin
A coin can be made of silver
The chemical symbol for silver is Ag
A and G are letters 1 and 7 of the alphabet.
Hence Heaven 17 and the aforementioned album.

A ghetto was originally the name given to an area where Jews lived in Venice
Snoopy played a Jew's harp in the peanuts cartoons
Snoopy is a beagle
The Beagle was the name of the boat Charles Darwin sailed on to explore Patagonia
Patagonia is a region of South America
America is where The Proclaimers wanted their letter from....

Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult

The 'Grim reaper' is a symbol of death

Death might be the outcome of an illness

If you were worried about an illness you would see a doctor

Doctor Robert - The Beatles

If you're sitting on the dock of the bay watching the tide come in, sooner or later you're going to get hungry.

You then take a van to Morrisons

In the freezer department is the steak and kidney pie you desire

This makes your teeth chatter, inarticulate speech of the heart

If you drank some troubled water, most likely you'll get the shits

This will cause you to lose some weight

If you lose weight often you appear gaunt

The 65th ascendant to the papacy was Papa Bonifacius Tertius

Admittedly, he may not have smoked dope though.
