Iconic album covers on postage stamps

Spotted a poster for these in the post office this morning but hadn't seen any news about it at all. Apparantly a new set of themed stamps is available commemorating iconic album covers.

The set of 10 stamps includes:

- Rolling Stones' Let it Bleed
- The Clash's London Calling
- David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
- Pink Floyd's The Division Bell
- Coldplay's A Rush of Blood to the Head
- Primal Scream's Screamadelica
- Blur's Parklife
- Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells
- New Order's Power Corruption and Lies
- Led Zeppelin's IV

Surely should have been DSOTM for Pink Floyd. Alongside Supertramp's Crime of the Century my favourite album cover.

I was really surprised at that too. What album cover is more iconic (and contains more icons) than Sgt Pepper?

Very surprised. Also agree with FM above - I'd have thought Dark Side of the Moon too. In fact, I'd probably be able to go through the list and pick a different album for each artist/group (except for Mike Oldfield and possibly The Clash)!

As for choosing Coldplay. Don't get me wrong, nothing against them (or their album covers) but I wouldn't have thought any of them particularly iconic.

I'm surprised Fleetwood Mac's Rumours isn't in there. Though I think Tango In The Night is the better album.

I too was very suprised with the list but then again it has been selected for the album covers and not the actual album content although why Sgt Pepper isn't on there is a mystery to me as well

And no women, either.... Blondie - Parallel Lines? Kate Bush - Hounds of Love...?
