The Mitchell and Friends show...
I dont think that Eastenders needs another Mitchell. In the show right now we have Phil, Peggy, Ben, Billy, Ronnie, Roxy, Glenda and Danny entering the show and Archie as just gone.
I think with another Mitchell it will be more screen time for them, i think they might as well call it the Mitchell and friends show. I like the Mitchells but i like them when there isnt to many of them such as just having Phil, Ronnie and Roxy have the main storylines in the Mitchell family I would axe Billy as he is just given the same storyline over and over again and Peggy is leaving. we dont need all these other Mitchells. all of this is imo of course ![]() So do you think that the Mitchells screen time be cut down and let them have abit of a rest or do you think give them more? |

People are so poor in their research.
Maybe you should go and count just how MASSIVE the Branning/Jackson's will be once Carol and Billy roll back up. They are the biggest family on the show and every scene from February is likely to contain at least one of them. |

Why not call it 'The Mitchells'? As I seem to remember EE very nearly became 'The Slaters' a few years back.

Ive no idea why that person is personally using it, but typically it is a sign of ignorance, a sign of someone trying to be condescending or rude.
So what's your problem? |

Well, according to this http://tv.sky.com/eastenders-spoiler...as-new-admirer it looks like the new Mitchell is going to have a pretty good storyline straight away so I don't object. Like someone else said, as long as they keep giving them good storylines...

Love em' or hate em' The Mitchells have played a big part in regards to how the show has shaped up in the last 20 years or so, including some real strong storylines, and characters. They have truly been the heart of the show.
In my opinion i do not think one family should dominate the show copmpletely, it should be shared out and balanced. I think with Archie dead, Peggy leaving soon, maybe Billy should follow suit, i honestly think the character has run out of steam and should be axed. I would like Danny and Glenda to remain in the show on a permanent basis alongside Ronnie, Roxy and Phil. Ben is okay, but should only be used as a semi regular, he is bareable in small doses. |

Am glad Piggy is finally leaving. Philth, Bent and Bully should all go to, but I would keep Glenda, Danny, Ronnie and Roxy. They have much more potential that the "old" Mitchells

While I agree, and have said before, that EE is becoming a bit more like "The Mitchells", I'm not sure calling it "The Mitchells and Friends Show" would work. That implies that the Mitchells actually have friends.
