I can't remember how many there have been over the years. The only semi-permanent one seems to have been Dr. Legg!!!

They appear out of nowhere just hang around the edge for a few months for the sole purpose of shagging about and/or telling people they have an unplanned/underage pregnancy and then they sneak off never to be heard of again!!!

(Apart from Dr. Mad-May who had her own storyline...)

It's not Jinxed, it's just unnecessary, let's be honest, who wants to watch people visit the Doctors, and then when they are shown outside it, people moan they never work.

The doctors have never been developed as proper characters. They need to have a family and storyline away from their jobs like most of the other characters do.

yeah he was awful, he was very similar to the one Little Mo went out with and the current doctor Al - just a pointless character who hangs around for a little while, does absolutely nothing and then leaves.

Atleast the one Mo went out with and Doctor Al are played by good actors. The guy in the late 90s was a gash actor

May was definitely the best Walford GP because of her storyline with Dawn and Rob. I was annoyed that Al wasn't developed more, and then finding out he was leaving made me even more disappointed. He'll probably just decide to move back to Devon.

Its not jinxed, its just that Al hasn't nearly had enough screen time to develope his charactor. Why bother making quite a big deal about introducing him (unless, of course, the horrible feeling that he was dubbed as "a new love interest for Tanya Branning" so he could be forgotten about later) then not do anything with him? I'm not surprised the actor is leaving.

Yes Dr Fonseca was gay, he never had a relationship but when he came out as being gay there was a whole uproar. Characters refusing to go see him, bad mouthing him in the streets etc. He was also Asian and left because he couldn't handle the negativity surrounding who he was.
(this is the character by the way, not the actor)
