I thought David has something to do with Joe's death, i remember reading somewere that David does something to the boat and Joe dies because it goes all wrong because of David.

Incidentally, changing the name of a boat is considered extremely unlucky and a total no-no in the sailing world, and more especially among fishermen.

Really i didnt know that and my Uncle who is 70 has been a fisherman all his life.

From what I've read Joe has an idea to disappear and for Gail to claim life insurance.

I think Gail tells David of the plan.

When Gail returns from a weekend away without Joe suspicions are raised.

Has Joe died accidently or did Gail kill him?

And apparently David makes things worse for Gail by getting rid of evidence.
