Kirkwood has started EE now (according to Santer DS interview)

According to the fairly recent interview below, it says that Kirkwood starts EE this month (now) but accually takes over Santer at 1st March. Does what I highlighted mean he started EE now but not yet as exec.

Quote:
“How will the handover period work?
"There'll be a little bit of an overlap. I'm running the show until the end of February. Monday, March 1 is when Bryan gets my office and that's when I'll be gone. Through January and February, we'll be doing something of a handover, but I'll be spending quite a bit of time during February working on the live episode, so I'll be only too pleased to hand over by that point. I'll collaborate with Bryan on the storylining through that period and then when I'm going at the end of February, he gets the special bunch of keys."”

I wonder if Amira having an affair so soon after getting married was Kirkwood's idea. Don't want to prejuddge the guy's work without solid episodes attched to his name, but if so... hmmm, really hope this isn't a measure of how things will be done.

I can hear my inner groaning already, but I shall reserve judgement ftm. Well done, OP, for making the observation!

Given that episodes are filmed about three months in advance and consequently scripts would be written a lot earlier and possibly edited a trillion times before we get to the final version, I think this is highly unlikely at last. And before even stating to write you have to have storyline outlines....

I think Diane Parrish on Mastermind said they were currently filming 10 weeks in advance (usually 6 - 8 weeks). So on that basis, I hope what you say means that Kirkwood doesn't have a hand on the weird turn of events.

I can ride above such peculiar quirks in a s/l, but not great hulking anomalies like Molly and Kevin's affair.

Any story you will see on screen for the next couple of months would have been planned and thought up at the last story conference, which would have likely been several months ago. It's not just a case of filming it, it will have to actually be pkanned and written beforehand, meaning the whole story you are talking about would have been born literally months ago, not within the last 2 weeks that BK may or may not of been there. I highly doubt if he is there, he would be dicatating stories at this juncture anyway.
