Anyone else quite excited for the X Factor USA ?

Anyone else really looking forward to it ? (I am assuming it's show in UK, and I hope it's shown very close to when it is aired in America, and not a year later like AGT).

I'm definately going to follow it anyway. I'm just looking forward to see how the americans react to the show. Seeing how new faces as judges cope with the mentoring and stuff. Everything really.

Anyone else ? And what are you most looking forward to about it (if you are) ?

Although, it's apparently not starting untill Autumn 2011 I've heard ?

Not if it follows the UK format. AI is FAR better for not having judges mentoring. At least there is no bias and agenda going on in that respect.

We should adopt AI and get rid of XF imo

I agree.

I've been clamouring for the return of Pop Idol since General Zod made a complete mockery of last year's XF by continually sending it to deadlock.

What is the point of judges if they keep referring back to the public vote?

They might as well bring back Pop Idol.

AI is a copy of Pop Idol though.

So just bring that back

I agree, the Pop Idol and American Idol format is much better than The X Factor. Bring back Pop Idol

I went off the AI format around Season 7 it just got boring, XF has had some great talent (apart from this year where the good ones didnt make the live show or were booted out early)

The thing with the XF format is Simon likes to change it up every so often and keep it fresh, Idol its just been the same thing to the point where its become dire.

hmm, well the only thing i think x factor should change is having the mentors be the judges as its only natural they will be biased and always end up at deadlock

Always end up with deadlock? That was only a problem this year. People seem to have forgotten that deadlock only happened 3 times across the whole of series 4 and 5.

oh yeah ,i'm a fan of the show in the uk and i can't wait till it hits the states

i think judges involvement might help some people who have less experience and a lack of a musical identity

Yes.

Hopefully they'll have different song choices rather than the same old predictable choices like we get over here!

And I hope they have a live band like they do on Idol; the live band with Ricky Miner adds so much more to the atmosphere of the show.

A couple of series of X Factor US will soon knock such noble ideas out of you mind.

I can't wait for X Factor:USA.

I want to know who the judges are, presenters etc.

And i think it is gonna be the exactly the same as ours but maybe a bit bigger. cus simon said he wants to keep it to the original british version.

I have made a website to keep up to date with all the X Factor USA news;

All that does is push someone down a genre they may not suit or be passionate about.

I am firmly of the opinion that unless a contestant is clear about their musical identity and direction prior to entering the show they should wait until they are - the show may try and make out its for ametuers but in reality its not.
