I'll be watching. If it's anything like Kim's (Corrie) interview then hopefully we'll get a good insight on what's to come this year. I know he's leaving but he should know roughly what's to happen.

santer can be a bit of a tease when it comes to giving storylines away.

How can you fault what he has done? OK, he has made a few odd choices and mistakes but 90% of the work he has done has been brilliant.

Ricky and Bianca return
Frank's Funeral Week
Janine Butcher back
Ronnie and Danielle
The Masoods, possibly the most successful family in soapland in the past 10 years
Live episode
Carol, Sonia, Robbie return
Tony and Whitney abuse story
Stax and the reveal
Lucas and his killing spree
Owen and Liz back
....just to name a few...

I won't be in to watch the interview but I did send in a question - hopefully it'll appear online somewhere!

I always like Santer's interviews. He always appears so enthusiastic about his job and you can really tell that he loves the show and its history. His cryptic teasing can be frustrating at times but I would rather be left to ponder over upcoming storylines rather than just be told them outright.

Half of those plotlines are forgettable. We don't need all these returnees.

As I said, there has been some minor bad stuff but the good completely outweighs the bad.

Just look at the difference between now and 2006 For example, Pauline's rubbish exit, without Julia's Theme. Zoe Slater got it..yet the actress who dedicated 21 years of her life to the show didn't

Introducing Archie to the show, Stacey's bi-polar storyline are two others that could be added, i think he has done a brilliant job when you consider the state the show was in when he took over.

Exactly! All in all, he's been fantastic. Should be an interesting interview tomorrow, looking forward to it. I knew if I wrote a list I'd forget some big stuff. Yeah, them two aswell lol

Isn't he apparently taking a member of the cast along with him?? Should be interesting to see who he takes as no doubt they will talk about a storyline they are involved in. I'm looking forward to the interview to I want to see if he gives us an insight into what sort of direction Bryan Kirkwood is going to take the show as a lot of people think he will ruin everything Santer has done but i think he is going to brilliant, maybe they should have got bother Santer and Kirkwood on the show as both are going to be producers of ee at some point during 2010!!

I was talking about the plotlines you listed.
Half of those were apparently great, but in my mind forgettable and dire and thats without including the obviously bad plotlines.

Care to explain why you didn't like each of those storylines? I'm genuinely interested to know.

Yes.

I enjoyed almost all of those plots, so would be interesting to get a different perspective on them from someone who clearly didn't think much of them. Why are half of them "forgettable and dire"?

Hmm to be honest, I don't really know why I didnt like the majority of plotlines, I just feel most of them lacked a bit of oomph and didnt really interest me,excite or intrigue me, whether it was the acting or the plot itself i do not know.

Ricky and Bianca return
I'm not a big fan of returnees, as much as i like the characters, we just end up with the same old circles.
Splitting up, getting back together, pretending they don't have feelings for one another bla bla bla, seen it all before.

Frank's Funeral Week
Cannot remember it at all.

Janine Butcher back
As much as i like Janine, she can come accross a bit too panto villainish at times which irritates me.

Ronnie and Danielle
One of the only plotlines i enjoyed.

The Masoods, possibly the most successful family in soapland in the past 10 years
Great addition. I wouldn't say the most successful though.

Live episode
Can't comment yet.

Carol, Sonia, Robbie return
Again, not a fan of returnees. Same old, same old.

Tony and Whitney abuse story
Forgettable really, mainly because of the bad acting from those involved.
I just didn't find it believable and found myself losing interest quickly.
I can only remember it because it was such a sensitive subject.
The reveal was okay though.

Stax and the reveal
Great plotline. Enjoyed it, except the length of time it was dragged out for.

Lucas and his killing spree
Lacked oomph, then again the reveals are always the more exciting part.

Owen and Liz back
Meh again, I can barely remember them in it.
I really like what he has done with the show.... we can sit here and critisize as in everything there is alwys room for improvement..... but I still tune in to watch every episode... so I guess in my eyes - he must be doing something right. I will be tuning in to see the interview. I hope the new exec prod. will continue to do as fab a job.... I'll be sad to see him go.

I can't believe anyone could possibly think there was bad acting in the Tony/Whitney storyline. Everybody involved was phenomenol.

Hey guy's just a reminder that Diedrick Santer will be on This Morning tomorrow. I'm sure most of you have already sent your question in... but if you haven't then send your questions here thismorning@itv.com

Also Sharon Marshall won't be in the studio tomorrow. So if any of you guys are on twitter and were thinking about sending your questions to her via twitter, then don't as she won't be there to pick them up.

Also introducing Heather and her comedy partnership with Shirley.
This character and her pairing with shirley was tedious until the writers made her preggers..And she was forced to grow up..
Dot's One Hander.
This was coma inducing
Bringing Back Clare Bates.
This was a failure u are obviously being sarcastic with these 3 choices

The actress that plays Whitney let the side down if i'm being honest..The girl just cant play a teenager thats an emotional wreck..Her performance was so bad in the crying scenes that I struggled to feel synpathy for her
