OP - as much right as Alesha on SCD which is zilch.

I don't watch X Factor - but my understanding is that Cheryl Cole is on the judging panel by virtue of having participated in a similar programme.

I like Emma but she adds nothing of worth to the panel.

She says the same thing every week - you look/need confidence. That's about it.

We know and she knows she's there because she's a name people recognise, not because she has the right qualifications to judge.

I just wish she'd drop the 'look at me' stance whenever she's inroduced - be it the main programme or DOI Friday, we get the shoulder wiggle or childish knock kneed affectation: similar to Claudia but somehow she fails to achieve the affection that kooky Claudia inspires.

Yes, agreed.

Edit: Just realised who posted this and stunned that we've agreed on something.

Well given that 50% of the score is on the public vote, you might as well ask what right the public have to judge an ice skating competition.

But our disagreements are civil and stimulating.

The difference here is that Alesha was actually a contestant on that program and the champion, so she proved she could dance. I know judging others on it is a different matter though. But Emma hasn't ever achieved anything skating-wise to my knowledge.
