Harmony and HDR
Can anyone using a Foxsat-hdr with a Harmony remote help. I have a new 1000 and having trouble getting the hdr to boot using an activity. HDR boots from the device power buttons and also from a custom button added to the activity but refuses to boot from direct from an activity, any suggestion as to suitable power delay settings gratefully recieved. All the devices in the activity work fine TV on and correct input selected. Amp on and correct input selected.

Do you mean that when you press the activity to view the HDR all the items start up except the HDR.
I have a 555 which boots up in the order of, TV, TV input (HDMI), HDR, Amp and Amp input/output. All of these setting where programmed via the Logitech server and have worked fine for me. I believe you can change the start up order with the on line software but because it worked for me first time I have-not ventured into other settings. I did read a post on DS way back last year about putting in a pulse for the Harmony and the HDR from someone having a similar problem. Just to add... the 555 puts a gap of about 2 to 3 seconds between each command but again this was the default on the server. Last edited by SkipTracer : 14-01-2010 at 18:00. Reason: Add more info |

Graham,
I think this is the thread that SkipTracer mentions: Link The Logitech Harmony remotes are really good devices and very configurable. The control software is a bit clunky so it does take a bit of patience and experiment to get them working just how you want. Hope this helps to get you up and working. Good luck! |

Graham,
I had this problem with my Harmony 525. The HDR would ignore the 'on' command every time I started the activity. I ended up changing the order in which devices are turned on, and put the HDR last. This seemed to fix it, been fine ever since. docbrown |

Thanks to all going to try these out. I had to reduce the interkey delay to 100 to get favourite channels to work. At the default of 500 the channel nos come up too slow

Big Thanks to all. Moving hdr to end and sending three zeros cracked the problem
