If I connect my 9300 to my new Sony the Humax loses the ability to record - the recording/recorded schedule is replaced by Games under the Menu button and pressing Record does nothing - it's as if it has had the Hard Drive removed! Has anybody else had this? I've set the Sony to not control HDMI equipment but it still does this. I've currently reverted back to SCART

Any advice please?

Use SCART then, it's not an HD box so there's no point in using HDMI, and the Sony will have a better scaler then the box anyway.

Humax boxes tend not to 'play nicely' via HDMI with Sony equipment - although this sounds very strange.
