Not as many as last year, and quite a few seemed force. I remember Simon dragging Cheryl up to clap for Olly (or was it Danyl?). Louis just seemed to stand up so he didn't feel left out. Then there was Simon pushing Cheryl down when they gave Joe the first standing ovation of the series.

I think in 2008 most of them got a standing ovation by the end, I think laura was first in week 4?

No that was Cheryl dragging Simon up for Joe.

As far as I remember Stacey didn't get a standing ovation for week 6 WWTLF, (although she should've done)

I also don't really think you should count the duets, all the celebrities get standing ovations.

Actually Cheryl never dragged Simon up.. If you watch DLTSGDOM you can physically see Simon pushing Cheryl down while she is in the process of standing up just so he can be the first up. Rewatch the clip on youtube if you don't believe me .

A few other ovations I thought of though not by all four

Olly Week 8
Danyl Week 9

Ah thanks for that! Kitty I haven't rewatched Stacey's performances that many times since I'm a big Joe fan! Though I agree she should have got an ovation she was absolutely fantastic at WWTLF. It was the only night for me where Stacey beat Joe throughout the ten weeks

Yeah Joe was the first with all 4 in week 7 with DLTSGDOM - So Stacey couldn't have done for WWTLF.

Oh, and in Big Band week of 2008 I think it was 6/7 standing ovations given, so it couldn't have been Laura in week 4.

It was Danyl's Man In The Mirror that Simon pulled cheryl up on - http://www.xfactor.tellymix.co.uk/watch?video_id=98

at about 2m you can seem him trying to get her up in the bottom corner as he finishes then he pulls her up by the arm when it cuts to them

of course Simon devalued the whole standing ovation thing by standing almost every week for his acts

Well to be fair Cheryl did that every week for Joe and Danni did it every week for Stacey...

Did Cheryl ever stand for Lloyd?

Do you mean week 1? There were loads on Big Band night and that was week 3 and Laura did Fallin' in week 1 and that had rave reviews.

I'm not sure what week to be honest, I'm just pretty sure it was Laura that got the first standing ovation

Yeah, but difference was Joe and Stacey were good!

Olly and Danyl weren't always good.

As you say, she didn't stand for Lloyd, so she wasn't just standing because it was her act like Simon did. Same with Dannii

I agree about Joe 100% but i didn't think Stacey was always that good. WWTLF was amazing but not much else.

I didn't mean my remark in a snide way lol.

What I meant was... Did she stand for Lloyd? I never really paid attention to that type of thing except for when I was watching Joe. The main reason I started this thread because I wasn't sure about the others lol

I know Dannii stood up a couple times for Stacey and Lucie but did she stand up for Rachel? I wanna say she did for Proud Mary but could be wrong.
