Really enjoyed that which surprised me

I did like it when Marco constantly repeated things, it p155es me off when someone doesn't answer you, great way to get around it!

Macro is great. Love how he walks around constantly holding a knife. Must scare everyone around him. He was nice to them too.. nothing like Gordon Ramsay. Marco shouts but he means well. I'll watch next week.

After a slow start I ended up really liking this. The last half-hour was great and I'll be watching next week.

I feel like it's a Hell's Kitchen replacement with more of Marco's input in it's production (and of course his name in the title!)

Donna Air done well I thought considering she was last into the stock van. Not buying any of Marco's time paid off for her.

How hard is it too cook a peice of fish though, come on! Turn down the bloody heat!

It was okay, I think the semi-finals/final will be better. A bit... lack lustre and too contrived I felt, although the second half definitely was better.

I'll watch anything Marco's in though, it could be the crappest thing ever, but if he's in it, it's all good!

Wish they'd do another series of Marco's Great British Feast though, it was brilliant!

agree that it was a slow start, im a bit sad Kelvin got sent home as his and Marco's banter was good, still loving Mad Marco and am liking Alexander Armstrong's voice over

I like MPW in the previous programmes but after he said they didnt listen to what he said by failing to pick 28 items, from memory from a van they had never seen before in so many minutes, I just thought it had reached ridiculous levels.

He pontificated until my head started to hurt and it became mundane and boring.

I worked in catering for many years in a busy environment of up to 100 covers which two chefs prepared without shouting, without needing to hear, Yes Chef all the time and without temper tantrums.

I also worked in outside catering without all these histrionics going on all the time.

Why is it that these programmes do not have to treat their workers with the same respect or guidelines as in the everyday workplace where if they treated them this way they could be taken to a tribunal for bullying.

It gives a very wrong impression of what a good chef/manager should be doing.

It's obviously unrealistic, as is most reality TV

Loving the show, though was wondering about this grabbing food off the truck business? When it came to the actual night they did not seem to have a limited amount of portions of their dishes so what they grabbed off the truck was not NUMERICALLY what they had.....

In which case....or even if not, the first one on could grab every bit of the meat and fish as well as other stuff and leave the other two doing completely veggie menus?

it was recorded, which defeats the object of a reality show, and seemed very badly edited. We switched over to watch Ashes to Ashes. It seemed like the whole thing was rushed and badly made and if the ratings flop, then this will join a long list of reality flops in recent years.

Me and Mrs M enjoyed it a lot. It just goes to show what an ego-tripping, pretentious prick Ramsay has become.

Why on earth did they put this program up against Mentalist, Lost- Ashes to Ashes and Criminal Minds?

More proof ITV is losing the plot or more likely losing interest in reality shows. This would have done better if it was live as the editing was terrible.

It does seem like a spectacular own goal.

I have just watched it today and near the start they are all lined up in the kitchen and Marco starts giving out his speel.

The funny thing is he says one thing, then the camera cuts to them, when it goes back to Marco he has grown half a beard. I didn't know you could grow bum fluff in 2 seconds?

I didn't enjoy it that much, I liked it more when they all had to live together and the clash of personalities you get.

Come Dine With Me does things so much better on a tiny budget and is really about five strangers meeting up over a dinner table. Marco is ITV doing Hell's Kitchen on the cheap and did very badly in the ratings, why not admit they don't want to do HK any more and not create this cheapskate rip off? Next up we'll have I'm A Celebrity filmed in Epping Forest.

I thought it was good and I'll certainly try to watch the next episode, but I agree the scheduling is terrible.

Just caught up with this on Itv player, as my number one TV priority on Fridays is Ashes to Ashes, and if this wasn't on I would watch The Mentalist.

Several days late, but I actually did enjoy it so will definitely try it again next time, but only on itv player again

Where is everyone? I'm not liking elen (sp?) at the moment she seems quite full of herself but she may redeem herself later. Loving the comedian's look of confusion...a bit like me when faced with a complicated recipe!

me again.. I also think it's been a better show tonight compared to last week. More involving right from the start, last week started so slowly but tonight they seemed to be straight into it.
