Having made her debut just over 11 years ago Britney Spears has gone on to become a worlwide superstar, and one of the biggest selling female artists in American music history.

Having endured all the ups and downs from rise to fame, to super stardom, to total meltdown to then a major comeback she's seen and done it all.
NOW Britney is reportedly gearing up to release her seventh studio album later this year. She began recording for it a few weeks ago, meaning it's in the making already.

What i want YOU (the fans or anyone else) is to use this thread to include any new info about her forthcoming project, and also discuss what direction you want her to take, who you think she should be working with etc...

Producers/Writers confirmed to be working on the album so far are:

- Max Martin
- Dr Luke
- Danja, Lago and Jim Beanz
- Fernando Garribay
- Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins
- Lucas Secon
- Chad Dexter
- David Guetta
- Sean Garrett
- Jon Asher

The above have submitted material to Jive Records for consideration, therefore it is NOT guranteed that their work will make it on to the final album, or even get recorded by Britney at all.

Direction to take:

STOP BLOODY MIMING. She's meant to be a singer and makes her money primarily off her voice. So she should stop ripping off her fans and actually sing for her supper for a change!

Not being harsh but this isn't really news.

But i would like for her not to rely on Max Martin and Danja for hits. How about more "out there" producers like Red One, Stargate and The dream.

I would love a "Red one, Britney"

Can they not give her a bloody rest! She had a massive public breakdown but in no time she has released 2 albums, a greatest hits and a massive world tour. She dopesn't have a say in any of it. She is told to do this, do that and told to mime on all TV shows and her tour and I honestly don't think she's happy. It's like she's a puppet. A cash cow for them that they intend to milk dry. She'll have another break-down if they're not careful.

do they want her to have another break down? She should have taken control of things 4 years ago when she had the chance. They work her into the ground. Also, I agree with UniGal, she should stop miming, even though she's always mimed as hardcore fans remind us.

Yes i agree with the comments that Britney needs to mime less, but you have to remember she is an all round entertainer who has mimed throughout her career.

I think she does need to showcase her vocals more because we all know she can sing, but i also think her dancing needs to be improved and by that i mean the choreograpohy needs to be top notch, just like it used to be pre 2004.

I think Britney needs to perform live on a big platform to really silence her critics once and for all and help her regain some credability as an artist.

Isn't that what a tour's for? And in terms of gaining back any credibility through it....well she's no longer insane, but she sure as hell isn't up to top notch performing. A long way from it in fact.

She used to be an all round entertainer, when her dancing was actually choreographed, she was brilliant. Shame she's gone downhill. I'd like for her to take control of her career, say when she is gonna take breaks, do some promotion for her music, she never does anymore she just relies on her profile, knowing it will sell.

No not RedOne, apart from his work with GaGa I've heard nothing of note from him...just makes you think that without GaGa's creativity he's nothing but an average producer.

I would like Britney to work with some lesser known producers. The thing is I think Larry Rudolph is short-sighted and doesn't like to stray from the 'Britney sound' and the Britney image...just look at the circus cover, we get sweet lil ol Brit Brit...when she broke away from him she put out one of the best pop albums of the last 10 years!!!

She needs to put out an album of Blackout's quality but show some progession as an artist, I hope they let her take more control this time as i feel she probably had little imput with Circus!!!

Can not wait!!

im so glad Danja is Back loved all his work on Blackout:

Gimme More
Break the Ice
Get Back
Kill The Lights- Circus

as for her mimeing so bloody what!!! its soooo 11 years ago she has always mimed, us fans don't care Britney is an ENTERTAINER and puts on a fantastic show, as for her danceing she can STILL dance, if you look at her circus tour videos from Europe onwards she improved hugely, plus the circus stage was bloody hard to dance on she had to please everyone in that room with that sort of stage.

can not wait for the new album, if the producer above do work on it we could end up seeing:

In The Zone & Blackout: Combined Both were great album with Blackout being her best album yet.

i know ^^^^, Circus was good but no where near as artisitc then Blackout, imo Blackout is her best album ever, britney has hinted that circus was just a stepping stone, so hopefully she takes the next album beyond what people might expect.

But Madonna isnt relaeasing anything this year though is she?

It is said Madonna is working on an album but no indication if it will be released this year. Some artists work on albums for years.

Love her or hate her, Britney has continiously recorded great pop songs throughout the last 11 years.

Also looking back at all her studio albums she a always improved, barring her first three albums i think she has produced briliant ones, with 'Blackout' being her best closely followed by her comeback record 'Circus'.

I am very much looking forward to her next, because Britney always guarntees hit records.

More specifically in regards to the new album, i would love her to definitely work with Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant, and Danja, these are the people Britney has always made great music with.
I woul also love her to work with some more new and upcoming talent to add a freshness to her work as well as some other writers and producers who she has so far not worked with like for example Ryan Tedder (of 'One Republic').
I want to hear more depth and meaning to lyrics of her songs, with great productions. Britney MUST include more stripped back songs that showcase her vocals.
A great love song from Britney would definitely be a bonus.

Why they didn't release Unusual You is beyond me...that song is pure pop gold and it shows a different side to Britney that we haven't seen since ITZ...I really hope there's a 'unusual you' on this next album, and that they release at least one slower song, that's not about sex!!!

She was going somewhere with the In the Zone album, if only things didn't go tits up with her as she was producing and writing back then, only to go back to how she was in the beginning with later albums.

Shame, shame.

100% agree!!!

this is what non-britney fans dont understand britney has and is one of the most successfull female artist of our time, she has always made FANTASTIC Pop songs and awsome ballads.

and yeah i think not releasing unusual you as the final single from Circus was stupid, that song was bloody fantastic.

im just so glad britney is working with Danja and Max Martin both make fantastic alliance for britney.

Enough things have happened in her life to create some good music/lyrics. I am really hoping for a beautiful ballad, maybe showing off her voice more.

Oh no, not again. Please no more of those trashy instantly forgettable tosh that stops you singing live because you have to take your clothes of and dance around to sell the song.

And why dont you try writing some of your own songs for once or even at least collaborate with the writers.

I don't get why people are screaming out for her to sing live now. If anything she's lost the sparkle she had before and really she is a shadow of her former self, if i'm paying to see her in concert i would prefer not to hear her live to be honest. That's not what your paying for when you see Britney.

In saying that, Blackout still remains one of my favourite albums of the 00s and i would love to heard music of that calibre again. But we'll see, i think another album this soon isn't good for her at all.

Jesus what an enlightening post.

Errrm I would say at least half of her fans are gay, it wouldnt matter if she had her clothes off or not.

Shes a great entertainer even at her standard now. I guess you didnt see the circus tour?

And she does write some of her own songs so you actually sound quite foolish.

I hope she gets Bloodshy & Avant to produce some of the songs, I love the stuff they've done for her so far (especially Showdown, Toxic, Piece of Me and Phonography). It would be cool if she worked with Xenomania too, they submitted a song for In The Zone but it was turned down. Hopefully Danja will be on the new album too. Oh and I'm praying she doesn't work with RedOne, I think he's really overrated. If there were a "RedOne, Britney" intro, that alone would be the low point of the album for me.

I think I read somewhere that the next albums going to play it safe, and be more like Circus than Blackout - not sure if thats true or not. I'd rather they did a kind of new, improved version of In The Zone with a little bit of Blackout and Circus thrown in. That would be perfect.
