Not seen it but I doubt it's re-recordings. They could be live versions as he seems to release a live album after every tour . Some of his live Beatles stuff is quite powerful - such as Drive My Car and the revival of Paperback Writer.

However I have most of his Live Albums so probably give it a miss.

They are live recordings from his 'secert' gig in Los Angeles!! Worth getting as the official release of this gig only featured 4 tracks, this has 12 tracks!

I remember a couple of years ago an album came out, 'Marti Pellow sings Wet Wet Wet'.

Yes, we know he does.

in your opinion maybe !
but in my opinion he deff can still sing...his appearance on jools holland singing "i got a feeling" just proves what a great singer this legend still is.

He's just trying to hold onto what he had. People like him don't like to accept that they're old.

The question is, would John Lennon have been any different had he lived?

Who knows?

I'd assume Lennon, for the person he was, would have been a little bit less in your face. I mean, Paul went on the XFactor which is probably one of the biggest hates in the 'creative' world of music.

Great little CD from the Ameoba record store gig he gave back in 2007. The intimacy of the gig comes across on the CD.

I went to see him in the 02 in Dublin & it was the best concert I've ever been at by a running mile.

I do find it weird that he's seeking so much publicity at his age though, maybe as a previous poster touched on, is that he can't accept he's old - I mean, lets be honest here, he's had a face lift which seems to suggest he's not taking to old age very well.

I've said it before on so many Paul-bashing threads, the man is a songwriting legend. He can do what the hell he likes. Enough people buy his concert tickets to support that.

So what if he's had a facelift? I bet most people his age in the public eye have had work done.

The Good Evening New York album he recently released is fantastic. Powerful stuff, and the DVD is great too.

Not listened to yesterday's freebie yet but I'm sure it is another good one.
