Which network are you in love with?
Hi
Just thought I'd share my love for Vodafone!! I've been with it on-and-off for almost 6 years now, and I would like to say its probably the network that I've had the least problems with. Although the call charges are probably not the cheapest going, the network is stable and the signal strength is second to none. The range of phones is great, and customer services are extremelry helpful. What mobile network are you in love with?

Freaky seeing this thread now....
I've just signed up to a new contract with Vodafone, as my PAYG phone is getting a bit old and knackered, and I got a new laptop recently so I'd like a Bluetooth phone to go with it.
My reasons for picking Vodafone? Pretty much what you said. Not the cheapest, but the most reliable in my experience (though I've never tried O2 - was it Cellnet before? - as I keep hearing horror stories from people who have it). Orange was an OK middle-of-the-road option (they're another company I keep going back to), and I don't like T-Mobile (or One2One as was). |

I was with Vodafone for 3 years on PAYT, customer service was excellent.
I moved to 02 - (online) 2 years ago, 18 months on payt and 6 months on contract, customer service isnt great, at 50p/min. But the tariff and call prices make it worthwhile. Dinger

Yes, it was BTCellnet before, and then they changed to try and get away form the BT Branding. I like Orange. Been with them for nearly 4 years. Thanh |

I find each network has their own little qualities, so I have a SIM for every network
.Will have a mobile for each SIM soon as well (Can't go wrong with a few £30 Siemen mobiles from Woolies!)

I've been with Orange 3/4 years and apart from odd problems and long waiting times on their customer service line I think they're quite good. Although I'm in the process of getting my phone unlocked now too so I can have an O2 sim card but still have my Orange sim card handy just in case.

Ditto on the reception (I have no clue about GPRS; I guess I'd better find out what it'll do for me at some point, besides cost me several pounds a Megabyte). As it happens, Virgin Mobile is the network I am switching from..... couldn't fault their customer service though, on the one occasion I had to use it (stupidly locked myself out of my phone after inserting the Virgin SIM).

I really liked Virgin but O2s tarrifs were to much to resist. I also wanted a Samsung E700. If Virgin had O2s tarrifs then it would be great

T-mobile, generallay good for students (i.e. me an mates), been my main network, agree on the problems with signal, but besides that good tariffs, phones (though they aren't all displayed on the website), and customer service (always giving me an upgrade, sort out services issues, OAD's etc). Good network all round.

I am with Orange and have been for 3 years now. Touch wood I've never had any major problems with them at all. The signal is always good and Overseas Roaming seems to be be reasonable in price. Good price plans too.

Depends where you live, Virgn (T-Mobile) Have very good signal in my area, much better than o2.
And as for the GPRS, this month or next, and will probably be well priced. o2 just changed to 25p for MMS, virgin will aim to beat that. There cheaper for most stuff, and no silly 5p min call charge. RIP OFF |

To my regret I am leaving Orange this week for Vodafone; purely because of dodgy reception at my high school. Other than that Orange have been great with pricing, free texts, customer services (not had indians/scottish ppl, etc)..
But I'm moving to Vodafone because it works practically everywhere. But I'm happy with both networks. |

I started a contract with Orange in January and so far they've been absolutely amazing. No problems at all, great prices, service, signal, reliability and great customer services.

Orange are the Uk's favourite mobile network. They are not the cheapest but give people what they want and are well ahead in terms of technology and being able to personalise services. They also provide plans that include 0800 number access (all Your Plans) and those can be used to override the network using services like One-Tel to obtain cheap calls to landlines. Overall for reliability and service Orange is hard to beat and they will soon have 3G services available too.

I been with all the networks except virgin.
I now been with O2 for 3 years now. And i have 2 numbers with them. Its PAYG and the 300 free text messages. Both my numbers are. I was in virgin megastore the other day and they gos a small section for there mobiles. A women tried to get me on virgin. She asked who i was with and i said O2. She said virgin offer better deals. I said unless u can offer me 300 free text messages a month for £10 then no. Besides when will O2 start dealing out EDGE technology |
