After weeks of talking myself into upgrading my ultra elegant TX-32LZD81 for a TX-P42G15 purely on grounds of size, I have finally actually noticed that the pedestal stand is silver.
I got so wrapped up in whether the SD PQ would match mine and if I could justify the cost (which I still can't, but hey!) I totally overlooked the fact it will look awful on my black unit.
I could just about live with the silver trim below the screen but the stand is too much and I have had to abandon my plans for financial oblivion.
Damn you Panasonic, you could have picked on a different model.
Sorry for the pointless thread, just had to vent my spleen without headbutting a wall!

Take the pedestal off (normally 4 screws) and spray it...

The cheaper G10 has a black one, the silver adds a touch of class

You can't please everyone! See this thread from December in this forum! "we are toying with replacing the TV, I am looking for a silver one to match everything else. However these days they all seem to be black."

Also this one - "Does anyone manufacture an LCD/PLASMA screen that is not black or silver framed?"
