Just having a look at the dancing on ice website & I am surprised at the lack of content.

Itv have given no time or credit to the proffesional skaters, not even a little bio on them nowt, blooming shameful!!

Ok so they might not be "celbs" as we know them but for goodness sake they have a talent they have worked at & moulded for many years, itv should be proud of them & promote them accordingly!!!

Off to have a look for information elsewhere, will post links accordingly as itv havent got any

Most of the pros have official websites & fansites with some good info.

Not sure why you're surprised really. Remember which broadcaster you are talking about.
They have never given the pros any recognition on the site, and not much on the show.
This year they don't even seem to have pics of the pro and celeb together like last years site had.

I have tried emailing them about it, but I can tell they take no notice whatsoever.

Its very disappointing BUT so far the pros have already done 3 routines and last year I think they only did 4 or 5 the whole series, so maybe they do listen.

At least last year they had pics of them with their celeb partners

Last year they didn't have pics of the pro skaters with their celeb partners. It's SCD that usually does that. DOI has never done so, unfortunately.

Agreed - actually, I know more about some of the skating pros than I do the celebs this year! Enjoyed seeing a double-dose of Fred in the pro dances last night, flinging his missus all over the place as usual!

The least they could do is be accurate with the scoreboard as well

well itv should be asamed they are proffessional athletes that in some cases won medals for their countries, so it could be argued that they are celebs in their own right.

Just wish they had the recognised for it!

The @dancingonice offical ITV twitter have said they are going to have videos on there of the professionals. Shame they couldn't have done it before the series started.

I think ITV have got it right to be honest the programme is and should be about the celebs - yes the pros are a vital part of the show but not the show's focus - the problems the BBC had with SCD this year is that many of the pros on that show are now more famous than some of the celebs on the show which makes for problems with the show itself. ITV also seem to incorporate and blend in new skaters easier too and again I think this is because of their focus being the celeb

See your point, but given that ITV have gone out of their way to copy pretty much every other innovation SCD has employed - a preview show, a bottom-two duel, a younger model on the judging panel in place of a more dried-up one - I don't see why they don't realise that involving the pros can actually do a show a great deal of good.

The SCD pros and the DOI pros just aren't comparable in the amount of air time they actually get, either, because so much of it is given to T&D on DOI. So you wouldn't ever get them to the level of exposure that the SCD pros get.

Given the way that every broadcaster is floundering around for ways to make their digital offerings more relevant, I think ITV have missed a trick by not giving the pros a proper spot on the web, at least.

I think it's sometimes the simple things that ITV forget though, like pictures & profiles on the web of the pros. I doubt this would make them more famous but it's just a common courtesy.

I think that ITV are improving a bit this year with more pro routines, all the pros got a little introduction & on This Morning yesterday they were chatting a bit about the pros also.

I think all the pros are lovely though & there don't appear to be any with over inflated egos like Anton or Brendan on Strictly.

There's almost as much information about the pros on the website as there is about the celebs. If you click on each celeb profile and scroll down, there's info about their pro partner.

The website is rubbish, isn't it? I am surprised they have the nerve to openly advertise it on the show, ! I think This Week's website probably gets more action going

The links for the pros can be seen now,not very good though and still no new pics of them either.

Disappointed is all I can say! Fair play for giving them a little more credit, as we've been nagging them for ages. But the email I got mentions videos of the pro's and then I get taken to a page on each of the pro's, with the info pretty much the same as is written on the celebs page. Old pictures, no videos, no interviews.

Disappointed once again!

Have to agree with you and the fact its taken 5 bloody weeks for them to put it on there is just a farce
