It may be unusual, but not impossible. I'm a gay guy with lots of straight mates. Several of then are quite happy to give me a hug and peck on the cheek when we meet up for drinks in town. It's no big deal, after all, straight women do it to each other all the time!

It's very likely than Kieron is gay considering all the (circumstancial) evidence:

He is extremely camp
A lot of people in various forums have said that they have seen him with guys
I saw an interview where he was on a stage and was asked about girls and he looked really uncomfortable/tried to dodge the question and gave a stupid answer

I think all the guys on Dancing On Ice seem a bit camp, including Fred, Andrei, and Christopher Dean, all of whom are married to women.
