Friends have the Humax 9150, and since last week's software download the box demands to scan every time it is brought out of standby.
In fact, a message bordering on essay length comes up, along the lines of
"Following recent network changes, your box now needs to scan for channels. It will also need to perform a default reset. This may need to be performed several times. Do you wish to proceed?" OK/LATER.
Our friends have done this three times, a full scan and then the demand for the reset, which erases their recording queue list.
They are now understandably rather fed up.
I thought of doing a factory reset, followed by a channel scan, but as it's done this several times already (albeit in the opposite order I think, I wasn't there) it seemed a bit pointless.
Software is 1.00.17. There is a potential problem as we're situated on the Caradon/Huntshaw overlap and our friends use the higher-band Huntshaw, but a check revealed that Caradon channels have not been memorised on the Humax.
Has any kind person got any further suggestions, other than to choose "LATER" until the problem stops.
Thanks, and apologies if this has been covered elsewhere (I couldn't find anything, but....)
