Kinda looks good.. Not sure how hard it would be though, looks like fun

Does it come with the andre
(at least then i would see him for more than one week!! )

Do you mean Andrei Lipanov? If so I can confirm he is in the game!

The game is actually quite challenging, especially on the hard difficulty! It will definitely make you sweat...

The game closely follows the format of the show so should keep any fans entertained!

All feedback is much appreciated,

Thanks

Steven.

Hmmm, there is skating on the sonic vs mario at the winter olympic games and it's a bit rubbish really - you just swizz the remote round to make the characters do the moves.

I guess there is no way you can recreate ice skating in your living room really

I think you would be quite surprised at how close we got with the controls. It is as close as you can get on a Wii console (i think).

It really is a good dancing game, and follows the format of the show very closely.

But agreed you obviously don't have an ice rink and ice skates included in the box!

What about the DS version of this?? How will that work?

The DS version requires players to draw shapes or gestures which represent the moves the skaters are doing, there are also stars to click in time with the music and required elements.

I will try get some DS footage but it may be tricky as we have no way of getting DS video footage. I will keep you posted.

What would be cool is if they were able to design the game and have the mat thing compatible

SO similar idea to the Princess on Ice game then? I love that game and its about the only game I can complete lol, looking forward to this one.

Or the Wii Fit, either lean to each side or step to skate then use the remote & nunchuck to do the tricks.

Do you work for the makers of the game? Apparantly the pros weren't told about this & some aren't happy. Any response to this?

Some? I've heard of one

Actually I've heard of more now

Thats a shame if thats true, using popular pros without their consent to sell a game

The game has a license with ITV that covers usage of the pro skaters, I'm surprised the skaters don't know!

They didn't, but if its anything to do with ITV, its hardly surprising as they treat them like poop

Anyway in answer to your question, I like the look of the game and will probably buy it as I'm dying to skate with Andrei

Sadly I don't think any of us are surprised at ITV not telling the skaters about this.

It's a shame that the skaters weren't told, they deserve more than that, they work so hard!!!!! Are only some of the skaters used in the game?

In fairness I would assume the skaters gave their consent..when they signed their contracts for the show.

There was probably a clause that says their names and/or likenesses can be used in any merchandising/ promotion for the show.

Well without seeing the contract we won't know. However, I know that it's very common for sports stars to have an image rights clause inserted into their contract so that their club has to seek permission to use their name/image & also that they earn a % fom this. For example I am sure that Wayne Rooney will earn a % from every Man U shirt sold with his name on.

Obviously the ITV Pros won't have the same bargaining power & ITV know that.
