Ok I've already gave O2 my PAC code to transfer to their network. It's the sim card with 300 free texts per month. I've been given a date of 13 April when my number will be transferred, what I want to know is, in the meantime, can I top-up my new simcard and use it? I know the mobile number will be the number I was given with the card until my old number gets transferred. Will this affect my texts in anyway? e.g. will my monthly text allowance be reset or anything once my old number's transferred over?

All that will change is your number. nothing else, you can use, top up and txt as you like.
