Online Takeaway ordering
There's a few of these around now and i've just used just-eat.co.uk tonight.
I think it's a great idea as things can go wrong over the phone. It could be a bad line or problem understanding accents. For me the worst is the address as it's in an area where alot of the addresses sound the same so I usually have to spell it out whilst trying to remember the NATO alphabet ![]() I've only used it once but i'd give it 100% so far. Easy to order (point + click), easy to give any extra info as a note. It was also delivered in around 15mins when the estimated was 45. A good start to the night. A nice greasy kebab with chilli & garlic sauce, can of lager and footy on TV

Dominos online is much better than by 'phone, as you get the option of freebies such as garlic bread and chicken strippers depending on how much you spend.

Although I am always worried when food turns up so quickly I must say - leads me the believe it isn't all that fresh

I use Hungry House most of the time. I hate talking on the phone so ordering online is perfect for me. There's also a lot of takeouts in my area that list things as vegan on the hungry house menu's which is always helpful. The little note thing makes it easy for me to ask for dishes without the ghee/cheese or whatever.

Although I am always worried when food turns up so quickly I must say - leads me the believe it isn't all that fresh ![]() The guy did show up with a Just-Eat.co.uk bag so I wonder whether it's a seperate driver or maybe some special treatment? I did notice that for my postcode there were about 8 takeaways listed and probably 6 of those are in the same street. (I have been to all of those in the past, usually after nights out, so I already had an idea of the quality of the food) It's a popular drinking street in the town. pub pub takeaway pub pub restaurant pub pub ..... I think there were 2 Indians, 1 Chinese and the rest standard takeaways so there is a bit of choice. I know that one of them has a fish & chip counter but it wasn't listed in the menu. |

I always use it, we have 2 here. Just Eat and Fill my Belly.
I love the fact that you review the takeaway as well, so you can see what other people say about the food, delivery etc... I haven't ordered a take away over the phone in over a year |

Ive been using just eat for over a year and havent been let down, its great not having to keep menus and see all the reviews, plus paying by card is a big bonus!

The Just-eat website is very good but it is no guarantee of a good meal as the standard varies hugely between takeaways.
But if you find a good one it's well worth using. Also be aware of the review system as some poor reviews have been removed in the past by the website , as has happened to mine. |

I think in my case it worked out well as there was only a small selection of takeaways available and i've used most of them before, one very often on nights out and also sometimes for delivery. It take the total unknown factor out of it although there were a few little doubts on how the system would work.

I guess I must live in a backwater as Just Eat does not like my postcode.
The only CT postcode it liked was Canterbury and no where else. |
