Another week of issues with the PS store for me.

Constant disconnects and "this service is under maintenance" - happened last week too. Only seems to happen on the Wednesday night.

Nothing much for me this week - although I did pick up a rather snazzy Jak and Daxter avatar, the two demos and access.

Same for me yesterday. I also noticed the American store was acting the same.

Is it just me or are the dynamic themes just utter crap

Ditto for me on the US store. Sony really should look to sort this - if you can't get on the store, you can't buy anything

For the most part yes. I do have a couple of favourites though.

The AC Brotherbood one was pretty cool. Ezio perched on a roof looking over a rain swept Rome.

The Cubixx HD one is great - loads of squares slowly rotating in the background with some pretty funky icons too.

The main issue I have with a lot of the themes is that the background is too bright to read the writing on the XMB. A simple change to allow us to alter the colour of the font would sort this but hey ho..

Generally the game related ones are pretty good (AC Brotherhood, Infamous 2) but the 'sexy' ones are just embarrassingly awful.

Still hoping against hope of a PS2 release of the Timesplitters series on here. But my hopes are not high

I'd love that too, however I'd happily pay full PS3 game prices for a spruced up HD version (don't touch the gameplay or I'll be ).

Timespitters 1,2 and 3 combined HD remake with trophy support

How great would that be! I already have the Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider and Splinter Cell HD ones.

The Timesplitters ones would send me into orbit

This weeks PS2 classics were a better bunch including a decent Need for Speed. Fair few of them too, so hopefully they continue at a decent rate.

For anyone interested in the Jak and Daxter collection - it hits PSN next week (available at retail on Friday) - hopefully they will be available individually on PSN so I can just pick up the first one (Vita has taken all my money...)

I bought Need For Speed yesterday. The game is still great even today but the frame rate is all over the place for some reason

I think it is free up to certain level or something - I have the game so haven't really been paying attention though.

KillZone 3 Multiplayer is free up to a certain Rank, and then you'll stop levelling up and won't get anymore weapons/unlockables, but you can then buy the Multiplayer for £11.99 and it would all be added right away.

Yeah - very strong month for plus. I was interested in Trine 2, but would have probably not purchased it for a while, so that is a great game to have. The second month they have had a new release as the game of the month. I already have the Sly Collection, but Sly 1 is also a strong title to include (I wonder if they will also release 2&3 in the coming months)

I picked up Journey - haven't tried it yet - but it looks brilliant, just my kind of thing.

I hope they have Sly 2 and 3 in the coming months for free because it saves me buying them if i like the first one. I'm not optimistic though i think giving the first away is just a way to get people to buy the other two. Hopefully i'll be proven wrong and either get a discount or the other two free for plus.
