Been getting into these recently. My missus loves a Cosmopolitan but I love a "Delilah", also known as a White Lady.

* 1 1/2 oz gin
* 3/4 oz Cointreau
* 3/4 oz lemon juice

Kicks like a mule but tastes beautiful!

White Russian all the way. Or possibly a stupidly spicy Bloody Mary.

I do love a Cosmo

But my ultimate is the Porn Star Martini - it is heaven in a glass!! Sadly it's a house speciality for just one bar and not a cocktail you can order anywhere

Mine would have to be a sea breeze....although I'm not allowed Grapefruit juice anymore so they are pretty much off the menu.

Since I'm not allowed that one anymore I guess I'll have to go with A Pina Colada or a Green Eyes.

I'm with you there Martin! Brilliant that you can buy cachaca in supermarkets now too and make your own.

I broke a food processor trying to crush ice for them a while back. Then invested in a proper ice crusher and have never looked back....hic.....

Mine would have to be a mojito. I had them on holiday in Cuba last year and were amazing.

I was struggling to get hold of Cachaca but found some at Christmas in Lidl and ony 12 quid a bottle (bargain!!). My local ASDA and Tesco didn't have any so my first home made ones were with Bacardi but made with the Cachaca they are much nicer. Mind you had one made with Vodka last weekend and it wasn't half bad.

My food processor is still going but is a bit noisy when the kids are in bed so I've gone back to primitive techniques - putting it in a zipseal bag, wrap in a teatowel then whacking it with a rolling pin - quite effective and damn satisfying

We got a xmas pressie from my husband's mum which consisted of a cocktail shaker, several cocktail books and loads and loads of alcohol and mixers!! We were delighted and have been trying loads of them. So far hubby's favourites are Singapore Sling and Vodka Collins and I'm quite partial to the Singapore Sling and Espresso Martini.

Exactly the same as me, probably if pushed, a Lemon Daiquiri.

Generally like fruit (but not banana), not creamy and my favourite spirit is rum.

Long Island Ice Tea. Is that a cocktail? Regardless, it's gorgeous.

I was about to say Long Island Iced Tea - but I dont't know if it's my favourite because I like it or because it's got so much bloody booze in it

Top Shelf Margarita, with Patron, Grand Marnier, Cointreau, fresh squeezed key lime juice, and a little agave nectar.

A lovely drink...especially abroard on a beach somewhere with the sun beating down.

Also like a good 'Long Island Iced Tea', or a perfectly made 'Old Fashioned'.

Think a good cocktail relies a lot on the person mixing it, and to the quality of the ingredients used.

Very true. I'm sure daiquiris and margaritas are actually nice but when I've attempted to make them they've been vile.

I like cosmopolitans and bellinis. I also once had a gorgeous variation of the traditional bellini which had raspberry puree rather than peach and champagne rather than prosecco.
