Emmerdale Cricket Pitch
I cannot understand this issue about the Emmerdale Cricket Pitch It is clear that Emmerdale does not have a permanent Cricket Team so why is there a fully maintained cricket ground. The upkeep of a ground particularly the square which contains the pitches is expensive and time consuming. Who is doing this work if there is no proper team?

Its a magical soap cricket ground. it will maintain itself, occasionally be used for storylines, then in about 4 years it will vanish without trace to make way for a magical bowling alley.

I think the point that is trying to be made is, yet another part of green open space is being developed.
And I mean if the cricket pitch goes where is everyone going to go for a sit down, to talk to dead people? to meet lovers? to hide when supposed to be at work? Quite a busy little place that pavillion.......

Corrie tried to save The Red Rec, Brookside, the close and I think in Eastenders it was the allotments.
Sadly an all too common tactic / plot along with sending an innocent character to jail. |

They are doing this because of a different storyline connected with the Cricket Pavillion. If you remember rightly, they asked Rodney and Zoe to help them save it, but .....
SPOILER COMING UP . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Rodney and Zoe get into talks about buying it, to build on. Wether or not they go ahead with it, I dont know. |

They used to play back in the old days when Annie was there and her dad was alive. In recent years the last match I can remember was the one Emily umpired.
