Can anyone help?

Digital switchover complete in our area.
When I record a programme it jumps in places and bits of the dialogue are missing.
Tried to upgrade recorder from V2.7 to the new V5.? Despite retuning numerous times it still wont upgrade to the new version.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Any help would be very welcome.

If you are trying to do an over the air upgrade then that only works if the upgrade is being transmitted.

Upgrades are usually only transmitted for a very limited time, often just a week. So if you miss the week when the upgrade is being transmitted you are stuffed very probably. And you don't need to retune either in most cases.

The upgrades are transmitted usually on the same MUX as BBC1 so if you get perfect BBC1 reception you will more than likely get the upgrade if and when it becomes available. Retuning is just a waste of your time and effort.

I would be surprised if that box had any way to upgrade by hooking it up to a PC to upload the new software.
