Maxwell Caulfield ( Aka Mark Wylde ), Thinks He's A Mr LA Hot Shot ??
Why though ? As much as I liked his part as Mark Wylde, and his small part in the cult movie Empre Records in the 90's, I dont understand why he think's he is bigger than British tv soaps ?
I have seen him in a few interviews broadcast live via satellite from Los Angeles since he quit Emmerdale ( after one tiny year contract ), and he came across quite arrogant when he was talking about his ex Emmerdale colleagues. He was sat there like he was the king of hollywood, talking about his movie projects in the pipe line, and how he struggled to remember any of the names of the cast he worked with in Emmerdale ( including Amanda Donahue ). He also was snubbing our British weather, and bragging about the hot LA weather, and how nice it is just to be sitting around his lovely large pool. I mean am I missing something ? How can Maxwell Caulfield be so arrogant, does he even have a top hollywood career ? Is he so super rich he can affoard to turn down work in his native England ?

Oh.. He's married to Hailey Mills sister.
Just found out on imdb. Fair play, that is a very famous family. Talent all round in that family and lots of money to. Can understand why he can affoard to turn down work now for financial reasons, but that dosent explain how he can affoard to turn down work though for non financial reasons ( unless he likes being unemployed all the time ? ). |

He was only 21 when he married Juliet who is 18 years older. They have done very well to be still together after 30 years.

The fact that he is the most gorgeous man to walk the face of the planet makes him more than just an LA Hot Shot |

Aye fairplay I agree, He is good looking ( for a bloke lol ), and always comes across well spoken and polite. But I do sence a ( I am bigger than the UK ) attitude about the fella and I cant understand why. All of his bit parts over the last few years have been in his native England, and it's not like he is taking hollywood by storm.
I have not seen or heard of him being in 1 single American tv show or movie in recent times.

I did laugh when he was on GMTV via satellite link between the studio and LA... he did come across as being incredibly arrogant and I know I'm not the only one on here who thinks that he's one of the most wooden actors that Emmerdale's ever had...

Yeah that's how I saw him come across in the gmtv interview also. I wouldn't go as far as saying I dislike the bloke, but I do agree his acting has always been very wooden.

I could live in LA most of my life. But I would still keep my feet firmly on the ground and accept what I am.
I wouldn't send emails back to the UK and think just because I live in hollywood I am a cut above the rest of my friends and family. |

Maxwell Caulfield has always been the sexiest man alive. I have an interview with him done by Andy Warhol in Interview magazine in 1982 as part of the promotion for the flopperoo Grease 2. He is photographed topless in it. God does not even begin to describe how hot he was in it, and it has been great to see that he still has the bod.

Yeah but how long was he in Casualty for ? From my memory he was in about for what, half a year max ( no pun intended lol ) ?
![]() ![]() Actually he was in Casualty for more than a year. He started in Sept 14, 2003 and left (was killed off) during the Casualty @ Holby City: Part Two on Dec 28, 2004. I used to like him in Casualty, Jim Brodie was a good character but I was underwhelmed by his "performance" as Daniel/Mark Wyle in Emmerdale. Does anyone has a link to the interviews the OP refers to? I find it strange because a few days ago he said he'd really like to star in The Bill, which came across as desperate when I read it and now he supposedly dares slating British weather and be arrogant towards his former colleagues in their back? If it's true, then he's got a nerve!

It's just a sent of arrogance I smelt when it came to him talking bout his ex Emmerdale work mates. |
