One that stands out is Kat telling Zoe 'YES I AM' your mum!

I hate that term. its nearly as irritating as Coronation Street actually referring to itself as "corrie".

Tiffany's death - just that last shot of her teary dead eyes and the whole eery silence as everyone just watched her go.

The big obvious one - 'Happy Christmas Ange!'

The STAX reveal.

Melanie leaving Ian just at the turn of the new Millennium.

Not really a 'doof doof' as they actually didn't use the theme on the closing credits in this episode but Dot and Ethel hugging each other just before Ethel's death.

Dead Danielle!

Janine and Barry - 'memories are better' .... OUCH!

'Oh Ian, watch out.' BANG!!... THUD!

Wasn't there an episode where Kathy's knitting machine broke and it got the 'Doof Doof'? I wonder how the audience managed to cope - having to wait so long for the next episode to find out if Kathy managed to get it up and running again!

Although it did happen in the 80s so I'm sure it was thrilling television back then! ... Oh wait, wasn't there an episode back in 2005 where Keith Miller sold the TV? The episode ended with all the family being a bit pissed off about it! It was just so undramatic that it was actually kind of funny.

When i first read the title of this post, the first (and only) moment that came to mind was the Kat/Zoe reveal, so i guess i'll go with that!

I really enjoyed Eastenders around that whole period actully.

When Alfie had spent 25 minutes running around London looking for a condom, then by the time he got one and got back, Kat had fell into a deep drunken sleep

One that sticks in my mind (although I hated the storyline) is the point of view shot where Tanya puts the coffin lid over Max. And you can hear him calling "Tanya? Tanya?" It was really quite chilling.

My favorite of all time has got to be Lisa leaving the square with Louise. It was just such a relief. That was a really nerve wracking episode because you genuinely wanted her to get away.

Kat: Zoe, come here.
Zoe: No, I'm fed up of you picking on me all the time..
Kat: I'm not picking on you.
Zoe: Embarassing me in front of everyone..
Kat: Just listen to me will you?
Zoe: I'm going there ain't nothing you can do about it!
Kat: You wanna bet? We'll go ask Dad together shall we, see who he listens to.
Zoe: Why don't you just leave me alone!
Kat: Because you're not going.
Zoe: Yes I am, get away from me!
Kat: No.
Zoe: You don't rule my life.
Kat: You're not going to Spain, and that's that.
Zoe: Why not?
Kat: Because I said so, alright?
Zoe: And I have to do everything you say do I?
Kat: No.
Zoe: You can't tell me what to do, you ain't my mother!
Kat: YES I AM!

Duff duff, duff duff duff duff duff duff
