CBB housemate Stephanie Beacham looks set to rustle Barbara Windsor's feathers.
The Dynasty star told housemates the Queen Vic needs a new landlady to replace matriarch Peggy Mitchell - and hinted she should be in the frame.

So what did she say? I don't watch BB but wouldn't mind Stephanie on EE and if she is up for it...

She'd be perfect in Emmerdale as Natasha's mother.

Nah, she's not common enough for EE lol! (no disrespect for anyone meant). She's too well spoken. Perhaps she could go back to Corrie for Ken?

Yes I could definitely see her as grandma Wylde. She could turn up as Mark's mother and give Natasha a hard time over his disappearance. Wouldnt be the first time she played Maxwell Caufield's mother either

Aren't Mark's parents dead?

I always thought Stephanie would have made a great mother for Lady Tara Oakwell. If you remember her. They were quite similar and I think it would have been great casting.

I wasn't struck on her in Corrie, but thankfully she wasn't in it too long before she sailed off into the sunset.

But Steph Beacham as an Eastend landlady? Leave it out. Either she would have to act rougher and more brassy, which for most people would be difficult to swallow after a lifetime of posh roles, or she would have to play a posh lady who somehow ended up running a pub - pretty unlikely.

Still, it was just an off-the-cuff comment on reality show - I don't think it was meant to be taken seriously.

She played Sable Colby in Dynasty and the spin off show "The Colby's". Maxwell Caulfield played her son Miles Colby.

Personally I don't think she would suit any soap. She should be in a BBC period drama adapted from a nineteenth-century novel.

She's not old enough, is she? Amanda Donohue is 47 and Stephanie is 62. I know they could stretch that but I don't actually think Amanda could pass for being much under that age or Stephanie much older.

Maybe Natasha was the product of a dalliance between her posh mother and the butler...

There are only 13 years between the actresses paying Debbie Dingle and Charity Dingle, so they really are pushing the underage mother thing to its biological limits.

As others have said, casting her in EE, as the landlady non-the-less, would be a terrible decision she would not be able to convincingly play that role.

Maybe she could turn up as someone's posh mother or something... or say, an old flame of Patrick's - but definitely not landlady of the Queen Vic.

I'd love to see the Beachamp in EastEnders - she could catch up with Linda Henry... (Bad Girls reference )

I say EE Bosses - SNAP HER UP!

I remember when Amanda Donohoe and Stephanie Beacham worked together in Bad Girls. They were the only real saviours of that last series

I think she could pull it off, perhaps mother of the new landlord/lady rather than Landlady herself.

I wouldn't have expected her to do well in Bad Girls and she was great in her role, she may be typecast as a posh, rich woman but she has the talent I think to do other roles.

There's plenty of soap mothers who are practically the same age as their onscreen children. There's only 7 years between Helen Worth (Gail) and Sue Nicholls (Audrey) in Corrie. Even back in the days of The Colbys, there was only 12 years between Stephanie and her onscreen son Maxwell Caulfield and only 6 between her and onscreen daughter Tracy Scoggins (Monica).

I also think she would be more suited to Emmerdale. They always have scope for grander, posher characters due to the country setting and Home Farm whereas she would probably be a bit out of place in EE. She actually turned down the role of Angel Samson in Crossroads which looking back was a wise move.
