9200 - will new software fix record start problems
aks100

I have a 9200T in Hertfordshire on Crystal Palace transmitter. It generally works well, and my digital TV is ok.

I often experience the record start problem (amongst other issues, mainly slowdown or lockups), where up to the first 60 seconds of a recording is missing.

Has there been any attempt to fix this in the eagerly anticipated new software update?

I don't think so.

I guess it not really possible to make an informed comment on that as it has not been identified conclusively what the root cause of the issue is. If it was easy to solve I would have expected a solution to have been implemented in the later 9150 and 9300 PVRs but it wasn't .

Has anyone got the new software? I e-mailed Humax for a beta about 10 days ago, but no reply.

The Hummy.org forum is the best place to find out about latest firmware. They are authorised to host the Beta firmware being discussed.
