Scan ADL528DVD.. comments?

Anyone got or heard anything about the Scan DVD 528 model?

On www.scan.co.uk they have it on special offer at £95 plus vat.

I don't want it, but a friend asked me if I knew anything about it. It's multi region, inbuilt DD decoder and seems good value. No doubt it has the built quality of a Matsui £10 walkman and no scarts (so I guess it's some real cheap import) but at that price does it matter as long as it works.

I'd always go for something decent, but if these cheapos work ok, it's hard to justify the benefit of going for a Sony or Panasonic which isn't easily multi region etc..... oh yes, I have a Sony.. and I'd prefer no multi region but have the superior build quality!

tell your mate to consider the scan 2000 player
it is supposed to be quite good (unlike their customer services

) and has a a whole host of features
