Middle aged white woman; very, very fine hair and not much of it; double crown so about 10 minutes after I've washed and blown it I look like I've got a bald patch.

I woke up at 3 this morning and suddenly thought about artificial additions to make my hair look fuller.

I'm specifying white, because all the weave sites I've looked on talk about black hair, so maybe I'm using the wrong terminology. I would look D IRE with cornrows.

Over the years, the only thing that covered the double crown and gave me volume was what I call a Kevin Keegan perm. This might not mean much to younger viewers, I mean an 80s footballer perm. http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/bob.dunning/kkeegan.jpg there we go.

Not convinced I want to re-visit the decade that style forgot, so I'm now seeking information:
Can you get weaves, thread-ins, tie-ins, clip-ins that would help? I'm looking for volume, rather than length. I've tried the sort of fake hair scrunchies but my hair's so thin and fine, they don't stay in.

TIA.

I feel that glueing/tieing something to your hair will probably just make more fall out. It can happen to people with a healthy head of hair so it could be pretty detrimental to someone suffering from hair loss.

What about a lace front wig? It's designed to make it look like the hair is growing out of your head, and it can be parted however you like. I've heard of Beyonce wearing them..

Have you looked at your diet? Had any blood tests? Hormone problems or nutritional deficiencies can cause hair loss/thinning.

You could try the clip in hair extensions, adding loads of layers for volume

Check out this video, should give you some idea of the desired effect http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gkz6veEjfqI

i think her hairs just fine.
But i wouldnt recomend extensions either, your hair will be good most probably when they are in but the damage is done when they get taken out
