Aw, she's lovely. She's actually de-aged and was more frumpy when she was younger, IMO. She's wearing well. Am sure the skating helps! Seems like a genuinely nice person...I've never heard anything to the contrary, anyway.

She is looking fabulous and has a lot more confidence than she had when she was younger, its hard to believe she's 50!

Some, perhaps most, will regard me as an heretic. Jayne does look fantastic for 50+ but age takes a toll on even the best of us and I've got to the point where I wish to see less of Jayne and Chris and more of the younger pros.

I saw her on NTA a couple of nights ago; I make no apology for thinking that long, straight hair added years to her age.

Straight fine - long no.

To those who disagree - fear not: I hope I can deflect the missiles that might come my way, but try to avoid my face, the torso and the legs.

Thinking about it - a bin lid might come in handy.

Well yes it might.....but SOME of us fiftysomethings look better with longer hair - I don't mean halfway down the back but mine is just past my shoulders and my hairdresser (young, male and straight!) will only ever cut the bare minimum off it because he says it suits me better at this length. So there

Older The Fiddle.

Jayne seems a lovely person but I prefer her with shorter hair. Most of the time it's just pulled back from her face and that does nobody any favours!

For a woman she has aged very well, it is lovely to see someone who doesn't seek surgery to role back the years.

I don't think anyone's trying to make a sweeping generalisation that women should not wear their hair below their shoulders after they hit 47 or anything.

Some women just look better with a certain length of hair, which is entirely dependent on hair and face type. In contrast to yourself, I'm 30 this year and I will never wear my hair past mid-neck-length again - it makes my face disappear if I have too much hair

In Jayne's case, I don't like the fact that she has nothing to cover up her large (though admittedly relatively smooth and unlined) forehead. A pulled-back style emphasises this and the lines around her eyes, and is just not flattering. At least get her a fringe or something to soften her face!

Nowt wrong with her clothes and make-up though - Jayne regularly looks twice as stylish as the often-mumsy Holly.

I adore Jayne and Chris. As a lifelong fan they are the only reason for me seeing the show.
Watching the celebs and pros is always fun but nothing compared to J&C. They both look and still are amazing and Chris is hotter than the pros and celebs put together!

The show would not exist without them!

That's what I meant. Something like Karen has, for instance. I think piling it up in a bun (like Karen used to do) is very aging, too. No hair to frame the face! Karen looks years younger with a fringe!

I agree with everything you said. She and Dean both seem so normal and lovely, and she seems very humble and quiet.

Emma Bunton will look like this in a few years, have you noticed how high her hairline is? Amanda Holden too.

By the way I think Jayne is lovely, my original comment was just a question, not having a pop at all.

She's always looked a bit like Kylie. Or rather Kylie looks like Jayne!
