99%, yes. The D61541GB part code on the demodulator chips is exactly the same as the chips used in the T835, although they do lack the NEC logo and have a different secondary code which would be why I'm not 100% sure. Sony was the first to make/release a DVB-T2 demodulator chip, hence all Freeview HD equipment has been using these chips - not sure if, even now, there are any alternatives to the Sony chip. The only other explanation would be that Vestel knew NEC were working on a cheaper DVB-T2 chip to replace their existing DVB-T chip that Vestel already used, having left space for those chips on the T7650 mainboard. Google isn't helping on finding a conclusive answer on this though

. The T7660 was designed for use in Ireland - the tuner hardware is indeed just DVB-T (no DVB-T2).
