Have a friend who's 2.5yr old Wharfedale (TVonics) box has given up the ghost so due to get Argos vouchers refund (had sense to get the 3yr cover from them).

Have recommended the 9150T to him, but ...

Argos have just put 9150T up from £127.17 to £139.99 (so pleased I blagged one at £99 2008 Xmas!)... BUT no stock anywhere; and seems to be a similar story at the vast majority of other online stores too.

Is it a harbinger of its being replaced imminently with a Freeview HD compatible model ?

Showing as £129.9x on their website - did you have to talk them down to match somebody or ? (Friend has an RS nearby he's used before, and the Argos vouchers could be kept for a couple of years.)

Otherwise just curious if there is replacement model due out so friend could buy in an informed rather then oblivious way.

I doubt it, there's going to be a (near) 150 pounds price hike for HD and, as it wont be available to 50% of the poupulation until 2012, there would be an awful lot of people asked to pay well over the odds for a box with a feature that is completely useless to them.
