I avoid these type things as you never know how much money actually ends up in Haiti or other places.

I'll buy the whole album as it's a bargain and there are some AMAZING performances, especially Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera and the single.

I think I'll buy the whole album. I watched the telethon and really liked most of the performances - Alicia, Stevie, Shakira, John Legend, M J Blige, Xtina, Beyonce, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, J Hud and the Stranded single were all great imo. 20 tracks for £5.99 is a brilliant price, and it's for a good cause. They probably should have charged more to be honest!

downloaded it from itunes...been listening to it as I soaked in the bath...wonderfully sublime - very emotional and standouts for me are: Halo by Beyonce with Chris Martin on piano; Halelluljah by Justin T, Let it be by Jennifer Hudson ...but the one that really reached me most was Bridge over Troubled Waters by Stevie W...oh and I love the New York Choir backing of Like A Prayer

btw £5.60 out of the £5.99 goes to the charity - great accoustic album and for a good worthile and much needed cause of action

I've bought nothing either! and not ashamed of it.. Just because some people dont buy into mawkish emotional blackmail for charity doesnt mean they are heartless. I just dont need millionaire performers to tell me to donate.

I've donated directly through the £5 text service and will probably again when I get paid, am I heartless?

And to be honest I'd be asking how much the so called celebrities are donating directy from their multi-million pound bank accounts. What if they have donated nothing? Are they heartless or is it ok becuase they performed some acoustic version of a song to show the world "they care"
