My mum's doing it, she offered to, but she's definitely not flushing her!! That is far too disrespectful if nothing else. I'm not asking too many questions though.

I think I would still like to carry on fish keeping though. Now I know what I'm doing more. I loved having those fishys, really, even though we started out doing so badly by them. I'll definitely be giving it some thought.

Until then though I'm making regular visits to the koi!

Sorry to read about your fish. Have to echo the person who said small children and fish tanks don't mix. When my daughter was 4 she said "the fish were hungry daddy so I fed them for you" She'd just tipped the whole big tub of food in! Not the same I know but caused me lots of work to get most of it out.

My younger brother thought he was being helpful when he washed my goldfish in hot soapy water whilst the tank was being cleaned out. He did feel awful about it though.
