Yup, never really watched Coleen and her arrogance last year in the programme put me off her. She seemed quite egoistical as well and I agree with the post that claimed she seemed to refocus everything that's said onto herself. Not sure why the producers thought it was necessary to pay extra money to get two presenters for the Friday show. Ben would have carried it off better without that irritant that looked like a pest that won't go away.

Her 'joke' about Loose Woman winning and not DOI at the NTA in front of Jane and Chris was very off-putting indeed!

She got the sack from "This Morning" a few years ago because she was a crap presenter and she hasn't improved since then!
Thank you. I thought I'd dreamed that. She and Twiggy took over when Richard and Judy moved to Channel 4. Both were crap so Fern stepped in.

Yes it was very disrespectful towards two very dignified athletes and fairly new 'TV celebs'. Unnecessary behaviour.

I love all the behind the scenes stuff on the spin-off show.

I'm not keen on the bits with Ben and Colleen. They don't look comfortable and Colleen keeps coming out with rubbish and thinking she's funnier than she is.
Totally agree, Sid. Ben I can take (though he seems out of his depth on this) but Coleen is way out of her comfort zone, as they say.

Don't like the 'interviews' with the skaters on the sofa either - they're embarrassing! Where's Claudia when you need her?

I can't stand Coleen. Her poor me act which was combined oddly with an amazing level of arrogance really got my goat on last years show.

I am truly amazed that she is so popular

You might be right, I saw a headline in one of those Heat-style mags saying they had fallen out but never read it. I think the other sisters have always sung/acted Bernie being the most successful.

Colleen's been presenting for years surely she should be better than she is.
She did fall out with some of her sisters and, guess what, it is all documented in her autobiography. Some people will wash their dirty linen in public for the right price.

I love DOI but have not watched the friday show because Coleen is one of the presenters. Why on earth the producers thought she was the correct material after her performance on the rink, I'll never know.
Now if they brought on one of the ladies who did really well like Suzanne Shaw, that would be perfect. The likes of Suzanne has a good personality and seems friendly.
I think Coleen has become far too big for her boots, is not at all funny and is sometimes very rude.
I do hope the producers take notice to the public. Coleen stayed in each week because of her LW fan base just like LW won the award last week, their fan base. The other finalists were not able to ask the public daily for their vote like them.
I'v already posted on another forum that Suzanne with Chris Fountain would have been a good choice to present the show. They have a good rapport & they know what they're talking about. Did anyone see Chris on "This Morning" yesterday? He was in the Dancing On Ice section giving his opinions on some if the skaters. He was really good.

Yes good thought. I LOVED watching Chris and Suzanne on the show - equally good dancers and verging on professional. They would have made a much better choice either as individual presenters or better still, a duo. They are both charismatic and the fact they also were the best dancers, qualifies them.

I'd also be up for a suzanne and chris combo. She has quite alot of presenting experience and I know he doesnt but with their rapport I'm sure he'd be fine as well. They'd be a good laugh, they have a great banter together and they actually know what they're talking about. They'd also have a good relationship with the audience. They should have an hours show with people who know and love doi and were actually good...
They're both also very good at judging the new skaters, he was quite good on this morning and i remember her giving a good analysis on Richard and Judy last year.

I thought Chris was great on This Morning yesterday. It was a nice change to Jason - I feel we hear enough from him on the show itself so why have him on every Monday on This Morning as well just to reiterate his opinions I don't know. I hope they have learned from this & that Chris was a first step and they get other good former contestants on like Suzanne, Kyran, Clare, Donal.

Same with DOI Friday, if you are going to have a former contestant you may as well get someone who actually knows what they're talking about when it comes to learning to skate unlike Coleen.

I agree with the Chris and Suzanne idea as well. It would be much better to have people who actually ENJOYED being part of the show rather than Coleen who hates the ice.

Yes, she seems to be like thank god it's over whereas you're almost holding chris and suzanne back from going on the ice. She said that seeing Matt with someone else again was like seeing adultery and that she misses it so so so so much and all she wants to do is be back out there. She said last year that even though she thought Ray was amazing he'd have to pry the trophy from her dead hands... Why not give the job to someone like that? Who actually loved and still loves it???? I like Coleen Nolan on loose woman but she's not good for this show. Suzanne has plenty of presenting experience and she'd help Chris. They'd be great! Funny and inciteful. This seems quite popular...

Do you think think the DOI production team read the posts? Hope so.

Bring on The Winkle - one very funny, quirky presenter who has a genuine interest in the people she interviews. Coleen, on the other hand, appears to be so self-absorbed it is apparently clear there is room for only one resident on Planet Nolan.

As my Mum would have said "She gives herself a big tick". Ms Nolan is very full of herself and the question I ask myself is this. Why oh why did ITV choose to employ one of the worst skaters the programme has produced to front the Friday Spin Off Show? Perhaps she was going cheap!
lol.

This is the best description of her, even when she was on This Morning. I read a few weeks ago she blamed being fired on her weight! Absolutely nothing to do with how poor she is/was, then!

Well how would that work if she was replaced by Fern in her "pre-gastrict band" days.....

I read an article the other day about all the injuries she suffered during DOI but she soldiered on through the pain of course. And I never knew she had been married to Shane Ritchie..

I really wish they'd bring back Defrosted. It was such a good show and I always like Stephen Mulhern on it, he always seemed to make Jayne Torvill laugh by just looking at her
I agree totally loved defrosted and even Andy Peters who annoys the hell out of me was engaging!

Exactly you need someone who people warm to especially those celebs who aren't TV people

Personally I really like Jason and I think he comes over much better on TM than DOI he makes great points and although goes a bit far occassionally its clearly all panto

I agree there seem to be no end of people who would be better than Coleen 'I'm the best' Nolan
