I resent the idea that people want to know this because they're pathetic little teenagers who think you are going to marry someone off the TV just because you like them.

To be honest, I'd be just as interested to know whether any of the female pros are gay, and as a straight lady I doubt very much I'd want to 'end up' with any of them.

I don't think any of the speculation on here has been negative, in a 'oh they're gay so that makes them good/bad' way. It's more 'oh, that's another dimension to these people I like on screen, and whose talent I admire.'

And before the 'it doesn't matter' brigade start again, when I say 'another dimension', I mean that it is simply another insight into their personal lives, rather than any sort of indication of what their personality is like. Speculation is higher on this forum partly because of the crap job ITV do of giving the pros any sort of time in the spotlight.

So when you see a thread marked 'Who's gay?', if you are part of the 'why do you care?' brigade, then DON'T READ IT. Not exactly rocket science is it?

It doesn't matter though that's what I mean. Although I always find it interesting in peoples speculation.

As for the gay women professionals - no idea, I think its always harder to tell, although one of the female professionals on a previous series is. Most of the current ones are married though aren't they - Maria, Alex, Molly, Susie and Mel. Frankie is with David - that only leaves Brianne who we know next to nothing about.

I agree about ITV - their treatment of the professionals is disgusting. On twitter they said they were going to have some videos of the professionals on the website. They have but its about 2 mins long and doesn't include hardly any of them. Shameful company. Also Frankie's name on the telephone line at the weekend was wrong (they said You have voted for Danny and Katie)....

Poor Frankie as when ITV first did the website they had both Gary and Danny skating with Maria.

I know Maria has a little boy but is she still married or seperated from her husband, on her twitter (and also her fan site) she talks about missing her son but there is never any mention of her missing her husband!....just a thought!

I wonder if that's because Danny Shrek-face from Hearsay is the reserve and he's skating with a pro called Katie?

I don't expect ITV to be like BBC when it comes to the exposure given to the pros. But ITV is really hopeless. I only started to watch DOI last year, and I haven't a clue most of the pros. I only remember Pavel, Maria and Matt because their celebs progressed quite a bit into the competition. I can't remember who partnered with Donal or Coleen for instance. That's really sad.

It doesn't matter to me if the male dancers are gay, but I sometimes wonder if it matters to them. Unless they are good actors, won't they find it a bit awkward to do some of the smoochy stuff in the routines?

I think it would probably be just as traumatising for a straight man to have do any of that with, say, Coleen Noleen, as for a gay man...

Ah yeh I forgot about him - I knew about Katie but forgot about him. Although at the moment Molly is training with him I think.

Molly is now packing to go home and waiting to hear about her flights so she won't be hanging around much longer which is a shame as I think she's lovely.

You've forgotten the lovely (and sadly departed) Florentine Houdiniere. Great actress on skates and a fab-seeming person; her chemistry with Donal went a long way to redeeming some of his dodgy skating. Gutted she's not back this year

Thanks for that Lorelei Lee, how could I have forgotten the lovely Florentine, they were such a lovely couple and were both well liked.
