Must have albums?
Just wondered if you could help.
![]() I'm going to purchase some albums later today - but just wanted to see whether you had any recommendations. I like almost all music so all thoughts appreciated. ![]() I plan on buying Alicia Key's and Pixie Lott's deluxe albums, and The Temper Trap. Also the deluxe version of Flo's Lungs. Any other recommendations? ![]() Many thanks. |

Don't bother buying deluxe editions - the extra songs are songs that weren't good enough to make the real album yano (unless it's a re-release)!
I'd go with Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster, Alexandra Burke's Overcome and Alesha Dixon's The Alesha Show Encore.. |

The Saturdays - Wordshaker. Might have flopped badly but this is a very consistant pop album. If you liked Ego then you'll love this album. One Shot, Wordshaker, Lose Control, Open Up and Here Standing are all pretty good tracks. Much better than their debut, imo.
Rihanna - Rated R. Deep, dark album. Russian Roulette, Hard, Wait Your Turn (particulary this), Stupid In Love and Fire Bomb are fantastic. |

Rated R is just one piece of fantastic edgy music. It is such a great album and I keep telling myself to not listen to it for a little while but i can't. Rihanna is without a doubt one of the best female artists around.

Agreed about Rihanna's album. It wasn't totally instant with me at first but now I love just about all of it. Only song im not keen on is 'Stupid In Love' but other than that its great.

I absolutley adore Stupid in love. It's a shame she never wrote it because she sings it as if it was written by her. Such a stunning song. The wait is over is my fav song. Very dominant, a bit in your face and just shows Rihanna's sexy accent off.

Her collab with Will i am (Photographs) is fantastic. Comes across quite a boring track when you hear it, but it's a grower and I love the lyrics.
"Here’s a little story I’ve gotta tell, Bout this boy I know so well" - Love the opening line and it's such a good wait to start the song and allow us to get ready to hear what she is gonna sing about |

Lily Allen, La Roux, Annie and David Guetta's latest albums are all pretty good, especially Lily's, and theres a deluxe edition of it out at the moment.
I keep meaning to listen to the new one by Imogen Heap too. And Paloma Faith's album sounds good from the little I've heard of it. Also you can get a 4CD Amy Winehouse album with all her tracks from Back to Black and Frank, and a load of extra tracks added on, I'd like to get that but can't really afford it at the moment. Oh and just my opinion but I think The Saturdays' albums are both a bit rubbish. They've got a few good songs, but the albums as a whole aren't really up to scratch. If you wanted a decent girlband album then you'd be better off getting Chemistry/Tangled Up by Girls Aloud, or tracking down a copy of Devil's Got Your Gold by Frank. |

If you don't have Hot Fuss by The Killers, then you should buy it. It's just one of those albums that everybody should own. The singles from the album were All These Things That I've Done, Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me & Smile Like You Mean It. All amazing songs but these are a few of my favourites on the album:

Tangled Up is good but I think Chemistry is pretty rubbish apart from a few songs.

I have the TU album, I got given it at Christmas a couple of years ago, but have never gotten round to listening to it. Is it any good? Or should I just give the CD to my younger, GA loving cousin?
![]() theirs some decent album tracks on there (Control Of The Knife, Girl Overboard and Black Jacks are really good)
