Well obvious she's the kind of woman Les goes for as she's not too unlike Janice in the way of looks or gobbyness !
Ah no! Janice is stunning compared to Cilla! There's nothing likeable about Cilla at all, at least Janice has some redeeming qualities and overall has a more appealing personality. As for gobbyness however.. can't argue there!

How orange did Cilla look next to Chesney in corrie tonight - he was whiter than white and she was almost Donatella Versace!!
Cilla Brown is surely meant to be Granada's joke at the expense of Cilla Black. Note the northern acent, simllar name and same hair colour etc

I think she is hilarous and the part is well acted.
I wasn’t keen on Cilla when she first arrived but Wendi Peters has improved and the acting is now much better.
Character wise, yes I much prefer Janice, at least she has redeeming qualities!

Cilla is a complete monster, heartless and with no redeeming features, and a brilliant addition to the soap. Can't type for long as I'm about to set out for Weatherfield and offer poor Chesney a home!
Cilla is one of the best characters in a soap right now. Excellent villain without being plain evil, there's something a bit more human about her, but she's still very much a heartless cow. Love her to bits

Lol, good point, never thought of that.
Absolutely! I love his accent, and his confused expressions. He's a lot better than most child actors on the Street. (Dozy Wobster.. etc.)

Yeah definitely. I hope he isn't written out when his mum leaves.
sam ashton really does have some feeling in his lines and his expressions just put the icing on! i really felt sorry for him tonight, being slapped 'only beans' onto the table for his tea, and worse still, when he was telling the story of his being put in a cardboard box on the shelf by the horrible uncle and having an accident he was there so long...

What sets a good actress apart from a bad one is whether or not they're able to make you react to their character - and Wendi Peters does that with Cilla. Don't you just want to slap her & shout "stop being nasty to poor Chesney".
Cilla is one character I love hate, unlike Tracy who I can feel anything for due to Kate Ford's total lack of acting skills.
In fact Cilla & Chesney were both great last night & Cilla had the best line of both episodes:-
"Kids in care don't have uncles - just nightmares" ROTFLOL!!!!

I really enjoy her character and cant wait till les finds out about Uncle Ronnie
