Ooh nice
Nearly all the votes I submitted have been shortlisted.Nice to see The Horrors and Cribs up for a few awards. They are great. And Matt Bellamy is my hero of the year <3 God damn I love that man. He's amazing. And how the heck did Cornerstone get nominated for best video?! It's utter crap and really boring. I mean, Alex Turner could at least have had the decency to get shirtless ![]() It's a great song though. |

Best British Band
Muse (I would have picked Oasis, but they have split now and won't even turn up to get the award if they win, whereas Muse will.) Best International Band Green Day Best Solo Artist Florence + The Machine Best New Band La Roux Best Live Band Muse, without doubt. Best Album Tough one, they are all pretty good, 'cept Humbug. I'll say The Cribs - Ignore The Ignorant Best Track Florence + The Machine - Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) Best Video Kasabian - Fire Best Live Event Blur at Hyde Park (though I wanted to choose Muse, I adore Blur) Best Festival V Festival Best Dancefloor Filler Florence + The Machine - You've Got The Love Best TV Show The Inbetweeners (though I love NMTB, but it isn't the same without Simon!) Best Film In The Loop Best DVD The Killers - Live From The Royal Albert Hall (Though I'd be happy for Boosh to win) Giving It Back Fan Award Arctic Monkeys Hero Matt Bellamy Villain Kanye West Best Dressed Noel Fielding Worst Dressed Liam Gallagher (I love him and all, but please, he's a rockstar of sorts, not a shitting PE teacher) Worst Album Jonas Brothers. Probably. Worst Band Jonas Brothers Website Youtube ![]() Album Artwork Muse - The Resistance Blog Dunno. I'll say Muse cos I love em! |

Yay at the two nominations for the mighty Cribs- Ignore the Ignorant is an outstanding album! Should of had more nominations though!
No sexiest male or female this year? (I'd choose Ross Jarman of the Cribs for male and Florence for female! )

Are the NMEs voted for by the public? Because it would be interesting to see Arctic Monkeys getting best and worst album, or Noel Gallagher getting hero and villain of the year etc. They're strange categories, there shoud be separate ones for male and female solo artists. And Lily Allen should be up for best album or best solo artist.

I actually think this is worse than The Brits, by quite a margin (which is really saying something)! They have Lady Gaga nominated for BEST solo artist, yet they also have her nominated for WORST album and VILLAIN of the year?

Id like to see Radiohead get Live Act this year. As big a Muse fan as I am, RH deserve it more.
Muse for British Band of course, and the rest Im not fussed on; would like Flo to pick up a few. |

By the way, the nominations are made up from public votes/suggestions, so yes, they are going to be a bit random, but who really cares.
